whats the fix for GE, they have always been on the weaker side of the region, even with this all new roster they couldnt make playoffs, what can they do , they have tried all indian rosters, mixed rosters, no indians rosters, even had monyet and texture at one point, but their rankings remained the same, why cant india produce valorant talent like other SEA countries can, val is quite popular here still no actual representation in VCT is quite a bit sad

honestly at this point maybe GE should just withdraw and give their slot to XCLSV

but seriously they just need to stick with this current roster for more than one season. they keep changing everything every few months and never give any lineup time to actually develop chemistry. if they commit to these players and give them proper time, they can at least be competitive and win some matches
the talent is there, they just need consistency in their approach
They had a really passionate fanbase in India. People used to tune in for the watch parties and the peak viewership during VCLSA finals and APAC LCQ used to reach very high peak viewership.
But their owners/stake holders alienated this passionate fanbase by removing the few good Indian players they had, and instead recruiting worse players just coz they were from other region. (Example, Polvi and Benkai)
To make matters worse, they said Indian players would hamper the 'competitive integrity' of the league. And funnily, they went on to lose with foreign players🤡
GE have to make a roster with the leftover of SEA and Korea, no Thai player would pick GE over TLN, no KR player would GE over T1/GEN/DRX, same for PH, you can't make a competitive roster in that situation, better go full Indian bomb the 3 first year, but lets them fastly increase their level because time in Tier1 bring you level, and have a chance in 4 years
Yea I agree with your point. Also, the academy team doesn't even have the best Indian T2 players. I mean that's how it generally is for most acad teams, but for a region as weak as India, you need to get better players in your academy team. (Someone like Venka could easily transition to T1 if given an opportunity)
he actually was pretty good at fragging. it seems like he used aim assist in 4 maps tht he played during the league. )(2 cache +1 overpass and mirage) optic dissolving the entire team was uncalled for tho, because titan with kqly didn't dissolve their team and scream, rpk, shox were still allowed to play internationals
Genuine question ,what would you prefer GE spending a ton of money to create a wining team with mix of Korean or other sea players or GE creating a all Indian team to shut up the fans that have been begging for it, what do you think would be more financially successful, tbh having a lot of fans is just as important as wining
idk how important ping is in this game (i've never played on anything below 30 ms) but there's sandrock gaming from middle east in rocket league that played on eu servers till they got a region, then they smoked everyone on international in the first year they competed. so yea it's hard as fuck but in a country of billion there's no way we don't have that kind of talent
You cannot make a full indian squad like its fucking braindead even if we assume they wouldn't have visa issues its braindead like if you put the top 5 indian players on the same like they will at max finish 4th in apac ascension if we assume they are consistent throughout the year and you know their org randomly doesnt run out of money . The thing is that Indian players and Indian ppl in general are notorious for being money hungry like in VCT if they get paid minimum amount like you can live like a king in the country so they wont try to win shit and be complacent and just ignore online hate . Btw if ur wondering who those players are imo they are

Like imo unless if these exact players arent trialled and then we mix and match there cannot be an indian team which can even challenge for ascension or make it to the arena stage
well its not like they are good with this current squad, just get a full indian team to farm impressions, what people do not understand it a full indian team isnt a team for wining its a team for finding and fueling more talent in india, to show the up and coming people that they can also be at that stage, no ambition is causing the lack of current talent, japanese teams rnt good but alteast its mostly japanese which in turn gives their tier 2 and tier 1 huge fan following in japanese audience hence bring more eyes more talent from their own country
