messi is the best football player of all time, thats a fact. However, he is not the greatest. Greatness is about much more than just being a good player.
Pele is the one that made Brazil the country of football. He is the one that made football become the biggest and most popular sport. He STOPPED WARS because people wanted to see him play. He won three world cups. In the first one he scored a hat trick in the final as a 17 year old, in the last one he was the best player in what is considered the best national team of all time.

for sure but i'm sticking to the belief that Messi is better than Pele based off the numbers. While I know that statistics weren't recorded as in-depth during Pele's day, Messi has more Ballon d'Ors and seems to have better numbers in every applicable metric of the game, correct me if I'm wrong. The presence of verifiable numbers outweighs the unknown statistics of Pele's performances. Maybe objectively Pele is better if we had a time machine available to analyse his games, but we don't. So I'm just going to stick to the evidence we have.

As someone who has many friends in high tier racing, I could not agree more. The track history is beautiful and it will forever be special but what has happened cannot be ignored. RIP Danilo.
