Technoblade, whose real name was Alexander, was a highly popular American YouTuber known for his Minecraft videos, livestreams, and involvement in the Dream SMP server. He was widely regarded as one of the best Minecraft players, particularly in player-versus-player (PVP) combat.
He gained significant fame for his engaging gameplay, humor, and participation in various Minecraft tournaments like "Minecraft Monday" and the "MC Championship." He also had a friendly rivalry with fellow Minecraft YouTuber, Dream, even winning a $100,000 duel hosted by MrBeast.
Tragically, Technoblade passed away in June 2022 at the age of 23 due to metastatic sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. His father uploaded a final video to his channel, titled "so long nerds," announcing his death and thanking his fans. His legacy continues to be honored in the Minecraft community, including a tribute in the 2025 film "A Minecraft Movie."

I used to be in the minecraft scene like 7 years ago, i forgot a lot but i sure know that Technoblade was far away from being the best player. The amount of just random germans and russians on european minecraft servers who were better than Technoblade is actually insane. I remember when the american community started hyping speedbridging and moonwalking as "good" players on hypixel, when the germans have been doing that for like the past 5 years. Do you still remember the whole vepex incident?

I only remember some names, some of them being poishii, xsus and fazon

BastiGHG is still doing content to this very day, actually daily and hes extremely popular nowadays. But nowadays he does minecraft challenges (beating minecraft with some handicap). Take a look at his channel, some really interesting concepts there

i like techno but his fans overrate him a lot. he even played an uhc event against mostly badlion players and died pretty early iirc

he was mostly playing on hypixel were skill ceiling was lower compared to mcsg and badlion

thing is, idk how we can measure the greatest Minecraft player oat if there's a large ahh diaspora of Minecraft tourneys like this, but I think in terms of pvp alone, badlion and mcsg clears, but in terms of other things like game knowledge, speed running, Minecraft hardcore skills, manhunts, or even fucking bedwars, skywars, skyblock......
