i would say a easy way to get in to anime is watching the classics:
dragon ball, Bleach, evnagelion, naruto, one piece, re:zero, 7 deadly sins...
Most of these animes are good for beginners and u have a bit of everything, plus they are probably the best out of the best in terms of quality in the history with out watching filling arks/episodes.
If i want to dig more in to anime waifus then im not the one.

I think the best starter animes are One Punch Man, Death Note, Mob Psycho once you decide that you like anime, I'd recommend one/some/all (if you're rly into binging) of the basics/classics to binge such as DB, Naruto, One Piece, HxH, Gundam, Evangelion, FMA:B, etc.

ignore him. You'll hear alot of people saying that, but don't talk to people about it, you'll just end up with spoilers or unneeded biases. So as a new watcher, just watch it with an open mind and form your own opinion. I personally think it's great start to finish.
death note, attack on titan (first one i watched), steins gate, hunter x hunter, fma brotherhood are all good ones to start with. or if you're a bum who sits on his couch all day eating potato chips go watch every ep of one piece

So I suggest you read the manga for one piece because it's faster pacing
