I don't understand this map selection format

Why is SMB picking 2 maps instead of Acend if Acend got to the match directly from winners bracket???
IMO this is actually an advantage to SMB where it should have been for Acend

It should have been 2 picks for SMB since they got 2nd seed. But now Acend should have been the one with 2 picks

Smb accidentally gave acend higher seed in the first match up. They gave them first map pick because of translation issues. I guess it's only fair.
