Why are more CS pros not moving to Valorant?

Valorant's tournaments have bigger prize pools (at least from what I saw). Isn't it more lucrative to switch to Valorant given that the game will continue to grow? Even CS streams are pretty dead compared to valorant. SEN winning Iceland made every SEN player's stream blow up. Tenz and Shahzam especially.

Maybe because they like their game?

CS is still big in EU and CIS, so it will keep on flourishing in those regions while in NA CS is pretty much dead that is why many shifted

It's worth it for NA players but not EU/CIS

The latest CSGO LAN tournament which was IEM Cologne had a one million dollar prize pool and wasn't even a major so no, Valorant tournaments don't have a bigger prize pool. Pros will stick to where there is money and as of now CSGO still has more money. This is certainly the case for EU and CIS but I'm not sure for NA. I think everyone in NA just got bored of CS.

NA players move to Valorant because they were fking trash at CS. They didn't have any orgs so they were forced to move to Valorant other than get beaten by Tier 2 EU team.

Most of the money players make isn't from prize money, they make most of their money from brand deals and the contracts they sign with their orgs and since CS, and the players' streams, are still decently popular in Europe/CIS, along with the fact that CS contracts are massively inflated atm, makes it more lucrative to stay in CS for the time being.

because both have different gameplay mechanics. those who found success in cs won't switch to other game it's hard to buildup in a new environment unless you have an org backing you up

Talking about only prize pools. NO, certainly not. Just how many Valorant tournaments are in EMEA in comparison to CSGO?

Because you won't automatically succed if you switch games. Valorant and cs is much more different than you think and not just because of abilities.

if you are having a good paycheck in CSGO and winning tournaments and shit , why would you even shift to a new game which shifts the meta every week and become insecure about your performance

Because unless you’re s1mple you wont automatically just be a tier1 player

Because popular to contrary belief, CS:GO is not yet dead in stronghold regions and arguably not even in NA tier 1 scene. The issue with NA is that no new orgs want to enter CS:GO when they can enter Valolrant instead.

Bro, with the return of Lans CS will only grow even more. Why are u saying that one need to die for the other flourish?

If Dota and lol can coexist, why Valorant and CS don't?

Just watch the game u like more, or better, watch both because they are equally great games.

Bored? BNB, NA team, got eliminated from ESL pro league without winning one map (out of 10), making the worst run ever out of any team in the tournemnt history.

NA is just bad in CS, they should just stay in Valorant where they can dominate.

CS is on its last legs right now, in 2022 Valorant will start to dominate CS in EU and Brazil as well.
