sorta disagreed, while trophies are a good indicator of how good a team/ player is, they don't determine the level of skill a player has, for example: we can say that s0m is a pretty good player, even though he has never won a trophy.

I agree that trophies themselves aren't indicative of the quality of play one can deliver, but to reach GOAT status or be in contention for it, you need the trophies to back it up.
