Futbolist Qualified

(BTW, this is not a TR hate thread, I'm just mad at the VCT's point system)

How tf does Riot expect us to take their formats seriously when a team like Futbolist is able to qualify for LCQ
They have literally not done anything since flopping in the Stage 2: EMEA playoffs
There are over a dozen teams that deserve the slot more, some of which even come from Turkey (Fire Flux, Digital Athletics)

To add on to this, why isn't the EMEA LCQ (made of 4 regions) not at least 10 teams like NA's

futbolist deserves it more than Digital Athletics, and arguably Fire Flux. Bad argument, but i do agree with your point

Fair point, didn't want this to come of as a "hate thread" to the Turkish fans, though I do think Fire Flux > Futbolist

as of now maybe ,but the current VCT's point system supports the team who are more consistent.

As a Turk, I prefer fire flux or Digital Athlethics instead of a team that is out of shape.

I think FPX (horrible, I know) deserve it more than FUT or OXG. But that's just the point system :p

Idk man. OXG can look good sometimes. But FPX are def 100% better than Fut.

That's true that Futbolist won one regional event
But compare that to FPX who have made all 3 playoffs/regional events and you'll see how unfairly weighted the point system is :/

TR/CIS stage 1 regional masters should've been worth like 75% the amount of points EU's was to avoid this

That's not the thing I guess. I think the point system should reward consistency over one good performance. It's tough to see FUT going through instead of some other teams but I guess their masters 1 win should also be rewarded equally.

bcs the LCQ participant were choosen by their regional circuit points not by their recent performance. even tho they are sucks in latest vct, they are TR master 1 champions and they got a lot of circuit points. this is how circuit type of tour works, just like dota 2

I think the system is all shit. Maybe Riot could make another open qualifier to choose which teams are gonna play at champions (excluding 4 teams that get the most points from masters). Thus, the teams that don't have a chance to play at LCQ would still continue to work hard. For example, there is no way for BBL to play at masters. If they had, I believe they would work harder and those works would develop Valorant world. Even some teams may drop their rosters because of the long break. This is kinda unfair. Moreover, I hope other organizations like Blast, ESL and Dreamhack make their own tournaments. These types of tournaments can help not only Tier 1 teams but also tier 2-3 teams.

I see your point. But as far as i remember, first masters had to be held online and regionally due to the covid restrictions. Dont forget that FUT dominated the whole TR scene and won masters 1. But still, this shouldn't be equal to winning EU masters. I feel like this year's system is bad in general. Regions like BR, JP and SEA get 2 spots at international events but teams from TR and CIS have to go through EU in order to get a spot. This is good for TR and CIS teams on one hand, because they can improve, but on the other hand it is unfair. XSET for example is probably better than all teams from BR, JP, and SEA but they dont get a chance to compete because there are only 3 spots for NA.
