C9 actual fix brainstorming

How the hell can this org be saved... Vanity hasn't been doing that bad but idk if his calling is it, or if he's just incredibly mid and should be replaced.

OXY is fucking great, idk about Xeppa he feels very hit or miss in matches.

Literally as long as they do anything but keep it for longer than 3 months, was going great with Jake and Runi, then they randomly shut it down and got Vanity back, org must be making decisions using a roulette wheel or something

is there a certain number of core players they need to retain over the course of this season? I'm a fan of oxy and xeppaa but i really dont like how vanity plays

Doesn't seem like there's a limit, as long as they have a completed roster before the tournaments due date: https://www.vlr.gg/271261/vct-rules-update-2024#

And I agree, Vanity is very gimmicky and it doesn't always play out well, they should rebuild around Oxy+Xeppa

This cloud9 roster should have never gone ahead.

The roster was built by Zellsis with the plan of him transitioning into an IGL role. (igl being arguably the most important piece in roster construction).
However, he then left to join Sentinels after he was given a good deal to be a 6th man. (can't blame him really, good pay + try content creation).

So now we have a roster which was built around... no one?
The players aren't really the problem, we now just have a roster built without a reason or purpose anymore.

I mean while Zellsis won't be there to IGL, the rest of the team should definitely have some chemistry amongst them to be able to perform no?

ig maybe it's what #2 said and just let them figure it out with time, maybe.

He wasn’t that good. He never once took map control and he played the same setup 99% of rounds

He was never directly the problem (no one was), but I don’t remember seeing him be the reason that C9 won a round

honestly if they want to actualy be title contentders they need major changes

none of these players are even top 50 in americas let alone the world, oxy is the only one who is top tier, which is crazy considering hes only played like 3 games
