(Note: This period is for teams to make player changes for the 2023-2024 season.)
Roster SUBMISSION dates:
- Masters Madrid: 8 January 2024
(Note: Teams must submit to Riot a preliminary roster that is eligible to play in the Masters Madrid event by this date. This is a submission date and not the final roster lock date.) - Masters Shanghai: 18 March 2024
(same) - Champions: 27 May 2024
(same. The final roster lock date for the Champions is on 26th July 2024, allowing teams additional time for adjustments such as securing visas.)
Team Composition:
- Teams should have 5-10 members. The inclusion of a sixth man or substitute is optional.
Regional Player Restriction:
- Each team can have a maximum of 1 player from another region
Trade and Loan Rules:
- Loans are forbidden between VCT teams. Only trades involving players or cash are permitted.

Game Changers (GC) players can be signed by VCT teams at any time, as long as they're not already in a VCT team.

VCT teams can loan up to 2 players to VCL teams and are restricted to loaning these players a maximum of 2 times during the VCT competitive season.
Two-Way Players:
- These players can participate in both Challengers and VCT tournaments.
- If they play in 50% or more matches in VCT, they're classified as a VCT player.
- A team can have a maximum of 2 two-way players.
- If these players participate in over 50% of a stage's matches in the International League (IL), they are ineligible to play in their secondary team for that stage.
Affiliated Teams:
- There's an affiliation between a VCT team and a Challengers team.
- Both affiliated teams must be from the same region.
- Affiliation ends if the Challenger team is promoted.
Safe harbor:
- If a player is released from a Full Team Roster during the VCT Transfer Window, they have a 14-day "Transfer Window Safe Harbor" to sign with another VCT Participating Team.
