I see people putting Liquid so high in their power rankings, even on the VLR ranking they are 2nd in EMEA even though they had to go to the second qualifier for playoffs. IMO the tiers in EMEA are:

S Tier:

Acend
G2
FPX
A Tier:
Guild
Gambit
B Tier:
Liquid
Fnatic
SMB
Giants (maybe)
BDS (maybe)

I get they are very popular and I like the players on that team but I don't think they are even a TOP 5 EMEA team.

a lot of people say that gambit is overrated but all I see is people underrating them.
Pros from both EU and NA played against them and said they were really good, they may or may not show up during official matches but they certainly have the potential to beat any team imo.

G2 look strong. Fnatic look weaker than ever. Liquid are making changes. But they looooooked really shit. Before those changes in structure. Liquid could be good. But the rest of EMEA left those teams behind in the dust. I wouldn't even be surprised if OXG beat Liquid. OXG are really strong rn as well and people are underrating them hard for some reason. There aren't as many TR fans for OXG as like BBL, FUT, and SMB rn.

That's their problem. They're way too inconsistent. Even in this tournament. They are way too inconsistent. I'd rather bet my money on FPX because they are at least like consistently 4th. Liquid could either be like 2nd or 12th. Also FPX did better than them in the Challengers 1 this stage. In fact, FPX 2-0ed them.

That's the problem with Liquid. How do we know they are more consistent now. Literally every other day they feel different. We could assume that they are good now. But how can we be sure about that. I just don't see Liquid being consistent enough this playoffs to get into the top 4. It's possible but who knows. I don't think they can. Also Acend and G2. Just look straight up better so it's going to be a very hard fight for the last 2 spots.

Ill admit, they played Gambit closer than I thought on map 3. But my point still stands. Ranked number 2 in EMEA? A lot of people saying they'd qualify easily and some people saying they'd give SEN a run for their money? No way. Their fundamentals are great but they can't rely on a lucky 3k to win rounds. Hope they get better but Im glad Gambit go to Berlin instead of Liquid. I think Gambit is the stronger team.

Same. I don't want to add insult to injury but I know Sliggy would have done his homework just like he did previously about v1 and then the enemy team could pull out a completely different comp, giving a suprise to TL. And then what? They would fall just like they did against V1?
(Actually I wanted them to do well but seeing them play in the playoffs I think that there are better teams. GGs to them. Best of luck in the future)

If anything this match says more about Gambit than Liquid. And not in a good way. Gambit is definitely the better team but Icebox shouldn't be that close.
