At LoL Worlds 2023, only one Korean team made it to best four.
At OW Worldcup, Korean team did not even reach medals, finishing in fourth place.
The momentum in China and Middle East is tremendous, but is the situation in Korea not better?
Valorant scene in Korea is left to DRX, but their situation is not better than last year ...

In overwatch kr is still so clear of every other nation. Think of it like this. The usa didn't place in the fiba world cup but we all know they are the best at basketball. Same story for korean ow.

Also usually china's best players are korean in lol. They also dominated China in the Asian games

And I'm pretty hopeful for korean valorant tbh, more young talent prospects than in most other Asian regions

idk what happened with ow, but arent koreans dominant in the league
JDG literally carried by ruler and kanavi, LNG carried by scout (although tarzan sucks), WBG has theshy, blg only true chinese team
drx kinda never was good expect 2022 champs, and they are not cooking with foxy as a flex

korean val is limited both by overwatch being the dominant FPS, and the FPS playerbase being small to begin with as most people play league instead. Koreans are the best OW players and its not close the World Cup means nothing when they dominate both leagues. When Overwatch starts to die out Val will get a big boost in talent
