Around 1/4 of the teams in challengers in NA, SA, EMEA and APAC are already leaving the scene. If this continues by 2026 the tier 2 scene will be nothing but the ascended teams at the end of their stint in franchising. right now its just the format that kinda sucks, if riot brings back the format from 2021 and 2022 that spans the entire year then maybe teams will be interested

It’s not The franchising that’s making the organizations leave the scene, it’s the stupid ass Leo, who said Tier2 doesn’t matter and Tier 1 is all that matter.

He doesn’t acknowledge tier 2. I’m pretty sure if they fire his ass, they can map out a plan for tier 2 alongside Franchising.

But you are kind of right. In the next 2-3 years, if the situation remains the same. I could see a whole lot of Organisations leaving the Tier 2 scene

more than 1/4th. there's no events or initiative for t2 bc of Riot

the hilarious part is that Riot forces t2 teams to find orgs even tho Riot scared them away

Riot already wasting prime Valorant years for a half-ass job at franchising. some of these t1 teams played only 10 games this entire year

go back to open circuit and allow 3rd party events. franchising won't add much "stability" if the scene is dead

Leo Faria claims has made many orgs lose their trust with the prospect of the Tier 2 scene, the damage has been done unfortunately.
