people arent afraid of saying anything, most times they just know the people who will reply to them wont even know how to reply to his arguments and will just insult him or change the subject to one where they will have the advantege, so they dont really care enough to shit on their entire day discussing with a basement goblin who isnt going to actually argue or learn or care and will just waste his time.
