doesnt make any sense.. any player would take a salary cut if it means they get to play in franchised league.. no one is in a position to be demanding salaries when there are so little spots and so much talent

minimum what? Minimum wage in LA is $16.90 per hour.. which for 40hour weeks comes upto 2.7k per month.
Franchised league minimum is 5.5k per month.. which is literally twice the minimum wage. Assuming 5.5k per month is after taxes.. it comes upto around 90k per annum before taxes and 66k after taxes.

and 5.5k times 12 is 66k a year BEFORE taxes... so even if they did make 5.5k a month they would get taxed about 25% of that so they would make LESS not more...
that report wherever you copied it from is incorrect.. just go to any pro streamer and ask them. League minimum is 5.5k per month after taxes. Should be around 90k per annum before taxes. My response is correct, the numbers are higher than the minimum wage decided by the govt. What one needs to make to live "comfortably" could vary and those numbers can be made up.. doesnt have anything to do with minimum wage.

look I don't want to be that guy, if you admit 5.5k per month is league minimum. Then the yearly amount they make it is 5.5k*12.
That is 66k a year, I don't know where you get 90k per year(stock options? % of merch sales? brand deals/sponsorships?). But those are not required at all by the org so based on that argument then 66k is the league minimum.

One of the most dumb things I've ever read to be honest.
You think every player is some 18 year old living on their parents money? People have families to support, parents to take care of, houses to buy, etc. 50k is not really livable in LA, and it definitely doesn't help you advance yourself financially.
Just yesterday there was a player saying on stream saying taking the minimum is tough because they support their parents with their income
