Fnatic only 1 international win

Tokyo was a legitimate win, but Lock in was not. 1st place for lock in only received 100k while every other tournament winner received over double. People who say Lock In is a major tournament might as well call Redbull Homegrounds a major(50k for 1st) 😛😛😛

If cryo is the best player in 100T which is the best team, then that means cryo is literally the GOAT.

There are no majors in Valorant. Lock//In, Masters, and Champions are all just international LAN events.

Edit: If there's anything wrong with Lock//In, it's the single-elim format.

the prize pool isn't why lock//in didn't matter. its because franchising literally had just begun so teams were still figuring stuff out. the result of that tournament only said who had adjusted the most already, nothing else

That and single elim bracket also

I said since the beginning of champions: fnatic's win on lock in and tokyo were reeeeally situational.

Lockin: 11-3, we know it was loud's trophy. They threw, ok, but it was more about rookies being nervous than fnatic.

Tokyo: Some of the main contenders to title were having issues (prx, loud, drx). FNATIC's road to victory only challenge was EG (which is a mid team, but they are on a dream run. Soon they return to being mid)

Champions: easy group...

I understand PRX's issues, what issues did Loud have in Tokyo?

PRX didn't have something, DRX didn't know which player use, LOUD complained about infra-issues, but they were obviously on some inside turmoil. After Tokyo, FroD started to be more incisive, less started to talk less, map picks started to be drafted by coach and assist. coach... all those kind of things take a toll on team's performance and confidence.

My point remains the same: FNATIC didn't played against good teams, specially from other regions, on their peak until champions playoffs. If drx was a little more consistent, they'd swept fnatic.

PRX is the team that had issues out of their control. DRX and Loud messed up themselves. I am not trying to hate. Just saying there's a difference. I can claim that Fnatic was just burnt out or some other excuse and say that whoever wins Champions is fluking. But we both know that it would be just cope. That's what I am trying to point out about DRX and Loud in Tokyo.

Thank you vlr user for your wisdom. Fnatic will now throw out their trophies and quit the game. Unfortunately, Sentinels will still not have a chance.

Not even tokyo was legitimate, only EG, fnatic and EDG were in form out of 12 teams.

Emea 0 trophies this year I'm afraid

i think expecting any team to have that dynasty is crazy, especially this early on in valorant's lifespan. im prob in the minority of emea fans who would say lock//in was situational win, but fnatic without a doubt had a good year

This game probably won't have such a team, or it's very less likely and will take a few years. The meta keeps changing. New agents keep getting added. CSGO doesn't have as much stuff changing as Valorant.

If Fnatic didn’t win lock in, EMEA fans would cry saying it didn’t count. But since they did win, they call a single elim tournament that had 30 (32 with China) newish teams and the lowest prize pool of any international event a “major”
