honestly i think another major in brazil (be it masters or champions) could really work if riot actually took notice of the intricacies of brazilian life, especially in huge cities like Rio and São Paulo.
things like timing (a big event in mid-february/early march, right when most people are going back to work/school) and matches ending too late (it can start getting dangerous and really expensive to go back home real fast) could be avoided if riot was a bit more insightful about the place they're hosting a major event.
Rio has the 7th lowest homicide rate among the Brazil's capitals. It has a smaller homicide rate than Curitiba and Porto Alegre, both cities labeled as safe.
Also, every eSports event in Rio are in the safe and good areas, no one will do a event in a favela. Or Riot is hosting this Champions in a LA hood?
