"Building off the hype of the upcoming 2023 Champions Tournament, a Riot Games spokesperson aimed to make fans excited for next year's 2024 season with the announcement of a brand new competitive region to its existing VCT circuit, from an interview with Dexerto.
"We've heard a lot of criticism coming from fans about the way our partnership circuit is structured", spoke Xim Kywrqzx, a riot games representative currently in charge of the development of the circuit's newest Mars region.
"We at riot games understand that our partnership system is meant to represent players from everywhere, and we don't want to give off the impression that we only cater to players from Earth."
Many Martian players had already had the game before its release on the red planet, using the existing launcher to play on other existing regions like NA, EMEA, and APAC.
Some such players include Sayf, Demon1, Derke, and Something.
