mCE had an interview where he said that he made sure to have the team take a long break after failing to qualify to Tokyo in order to mentally reset. Even going as far as having qpert scrim in place of Runi in the weeks leading up to the Sentinels game

Do we think that maybe the choke to Leviatan has to do with C9 not having sufficient time to make new protocols, innovate, and build strategic depth?

Ofc some of the choke has to be mental, but I wonder if a few more pocket strats or reads from scrims could have pushed C9 over the finish line

he said apparently that they had all the prep but just couldnt seem to show it on stage, calling issue apparently after their loss to kru

Maybe the calling could have been better if Runi bootcamped for a week or two before LCQ

They had plenty of time, mCE is just coping hard.

Plus, you don't really "choke" 3 entire maps in a row, they just aren't as good as they thought.

Getting reverse swept after an 11-13 third map is definitely a choke

Also maybe they would’ve been better if they trained longer

ye we could say that but KRU also had a break and then went hard to work.. its just mental cause mCe is a really good coach I doubt they were lacking in preparation

seemed more mental to me but also overconfidence cus I am pretty sure c9 believed they could have closed it out in 4 maps and wont have to play Bind but choked Haven, had to play bind and werent prepared for it.

No I think the Strats and calling were good for the most part as they looked like they were dominating a lot of the time but would proceed to let it get out of hand
