el diablo's return

Contrary to popular belief I don't think yay is washed. His mechanical skill and game sense are still tier 1 level, he's just at an all time low in terms of confidence. I believe if he can branch out like TenZ or f0rsaken and expand his agent pool, he can be extremely effective as his ability to win duels is unmatched. As NA desperately needs a high-level sentinel player, if he can be able to play other sentinel agents besides chamber, I think el diablo's return to Tier 1 valorant will happen sooner than you might think.👿

Why are people so high on his gamesense? He's only been elite with escape agents. Pre-nerf Jett and pre-nerf Chamber. You could push brain dead and had a get out of jail for free card

I've watched probably close to 20 when Yay was on the roster even when it was Envy??? I like him alot but i'm just asking why people rate his gamesense so high considering he's failed on non escape agents so far

he hasn't? he's played 32 games of sage in pro play and has a 1.34 kd and a 1.22 rating, his stats are even better than they are on jett and chamber overall.

he's basically one of the best defensive styled players in the world.

He is also very good at first bloods.

He is also much better with an op than a rifle.

What he isn't good at is dictating the pace of the game and entry. this is what they were trying to make him do on DSG.

unfortunately, this puts him in a weird spot of being better suited for sentinel than duelist. But he has basically trained his entire career on agents with an escape function. This has made his transition harder than most.

I think Boostio showing the power of a KJ op is a big deal for a player like yay. He needs to play defensive agents and his team needs to be built around a defensive style op.

tdl: the reason he has good game sense is because he is probably the best player in the world at anchoring a site with an OP.

Good take. Although i don't think anchoring a site with OP requires as much gamesense as you think. But still agree with everything else

hes not a sentinel at heart, thats what a lot of teams put you on if you use chamber too much, look at ardiis, dicey

Hell nah. He looked awful because there was no strat or chemistry in the team. Thats why he flopped. He is already proved himself. Even in lock in he was the best player at cloud9.
