esports is a relatively new job so there's not a lot of people who have retired and are old now
so what do pros do after they retire and stuff? do they have to get another job bc i doubt esports pays till ur 80 - especially t2/t3 pros that didn't go to school and strictly do esports

is streaming really that viable long term tho? like content creators don't usually stay relevant for that long - i'm sure they can make money stretch with investing but every single pro tho?

Streaming.

An example of what T2/T3 pros do after retirement, if they are driven, is probably pivot their careers. YaBoiDre basically retired after his LG stint and now works at Riot as a software engineer.

Most of them probably become CCs though. Take curry, he's doing pretty well as a rising VALORANT streamer.

streaming, content creation, or live rich till immortality (traveling the world, doing whatever you want) if you have successful financial investment like zombs

Streaming, coaching, content, but most of them invest the good money they make into other areas (I HOPE THEY DO).

Not enough to retire, but enough to live comfortable after their careers.

successful esports pros have relevant skills that can translate into real life work such as: teamwork, strategic thinking, focus and discipline, resillience, problem solving, and much more

A lot of pros learn finances to make investments with their earnings and live from that
besides that, content creation or having roles in different orgs or game companies
maybe some casting, table analysis. Maybe coaching, assistant coaching, data analysis, things alike

That's why every notable esports player should set up some sort of stream or brand. The fact that a guy like Kiles won a LAN and speaks three languages yet has no stream archives at all is stupid. It's already worked out amazingly for the SEN roster and even the GMB guys who all have some sort of following.

zyppan is another example, one of the better players in the world, won a LAN, and has under 40k subs with no twitch. Dude plays the easiest character to farm content on and he's like top 3 in the world at it, just tweet and stream a bit more and if ur career somehow goes to shit you have something to fall back on.
