Does giving 3 slots to china for VCT CHAMPIONS 2023 looks Fair. They haven't won a single Game in any international Events. Only EDG looks promising rest looks way behind.
I would Rather give 1 slot to china and Increase Either EMEa Or Americas Slot.
It is heart breaking to see Teams like ASE playing and C9 Which is way better waiting for LCQ for qualification for Champs.
If riot continue to do same NXT year, the fans might go made about it.

Bro you're weird. EDG can compete with the rest on the world they're insane. They arguably should've won vs T1 yesterday. Zmjjkk one of the best awpers worldwide (imo). They just keep choking and losing in OT first against 100T now T1. GE cant compete with EDG or ASE 🥱🥱

Can we just stop complaining about this topic its clear riot wants to create a new region with china and to be fair china makes 1/8 from the world population. so why does riot give them three slots because you learn most internationally. You could also argue why pacific has 3 slots since they never won a tournement but if we do that we have a game with near to non eastern teams and we all want that valorant stays a healthy game with good playerbase. Esports has a huge impact on this.

As an AI language model, my responses are based on the information available up until September 2021. Therefore, I cannot provide specific details about events or developments that have occurred after that time, such as the Valorant Champion 2023.

However, I can speculate on why China might have multiple spots in a Valorant championship. China is known for its highly competitive esports scene, with a large player base and numerous talented teams. Chinese esports organizations have historically performed well in various esports titles and have a strong presence in international competitions.

The number of spots allocated to each region in a tournament is typically determined based on factors such as regional performance, player base, and overall competitiveness. If China has three spots in the Valorant Champion 2023, it could be a reflection of the strength and success of Chinese teams in the Valorant esports scene.

It's important to note that the actual allocation of spots and the reasons behind it may vary depending on the tournament organizer and the specific criteria they use. For accurate and up-to-date information about the Valorant Champion 2023 and the allocation of spots, I recommend referring to official sources or recent news updates.

You argue about the idea of it not being fair. If we really consider "fairness" then maybe you should consider the fact that the government has only just approved of valorant at the start of this year, and it still hasn't even released yet in China. This means they are 3 years behind the rest of the world, they clearly already have players with insane mechanics, decision making (kk, chichoo, life etc.) and the potential to be top contenders. All they need now is experience and international exposure until that's made a reality. Giving them less international chance is not gonna help with how they've not won any games yet - it'll do the opposite. And let's not forget that EDG did dominate the East Asia LCQ last year in order to qualify for Champions - they earned that, without dropping a single map to ONS (who's core is now GenG) and NTH who's been at a masters.

no reason to argue. riot’s owners, tencent, want china’s money. very straightforward. they don’t care about fairness.

RIOT treat every region equally (same amount of slots). The only way 1 region can have more than others, is for a region to win a tournament as a reward. Treating every region equally gives equal opportunity of growth. Chinese teams are 1 or 2 years behind and their main criticism has always been lack of international experience, which is what RIOT is doing now to help this issue.

China seems like BR in the beggining, all aim no braim (lack fundamentals).
They need time and slots to start to realize how to play valorant. So i think 3 slots is good.
