How did EG get this good? This is basically still the same low Tier 1 NA team who had no chance of getting in to International Tournaments, and now they’re taking down the giants of VALORANT e-sports. When did they become these monsters? Not only did their plans and strategies get crazy but individual players were hitting crazy shots and plays. Nah, BCJ is a good kid. He has continued to support this team even though he was benched.
They needed that punch of an elite duelist. Jawgemo was good, but he's not no Aspas or Ardiis.

Even tho they mostly work by coordinating their plays, it hasn't diminished their individual skills. And as for demon1 he's rarely afraid to take a duel and it's rubbing off on his team. You can see that from boostio and jawgemo

Honestly - In MCE's words they have individual brilliant performances - for most part it was Demon1 but lately it has been Boostio and even Jawgemo. These combined with great strats usually beat most teams. They struggle against more structured teams like LOUD and NRG

The reason is that EG has not broken the wall yet
NRGs strong point is their hard ass anti-strats
LOUDs strong point is Adaptability in game
This why their games are always so close, NRG denies 90% of LOUDs stratbook, then LOUD just adapt to whatever’s happening and play a different style entirely

Core of the team has been together forever. Chemistry goes a long way in creating championship runs.
Demon1 added the top tier duelist that EG has been missing since this squad was formed.
Strats for this team has always been solid, and even in the early part of this season you could see the potential, but the firepower was too lackluster. As they got more time they created a very strong and hard to beat formula that they knew how to execute on.
Boostio and c0m finally making the jump into excellent Tier 1 players rather than borderline Tier 2 players. Boostio especially. Literally putting on a Nats like performance on sentinel so far.
Confidence, the underdog, and nothing to lose. Halfway through the season they had almost no chance to make it to playoffs let alone Tokyo. They took the opportunity to play with nothing to lose. Everyone was already clowning on EG anyways, even if they didn't make the NA playoffs because 100T won, they still would've earned some respect. Now that they have proved themselves, their confidence is through the roof.
