The Styles of Each Region?

Remember back in 2021 when NA was known to be a bunch of all aim no brainers and EU was known as the strategy region? Now that almost all regions are strategically similar,

is there a certain playstyle that defines them? I feel like I can see an obvious difference between the other regions and pacific, but that's the most easy one to tell.

Imo APAC = faster and more aggressive
EMEA = Defaulty and slower paced
Americas = something of a mix between EMEA and APAC

EMEA still one of the most boring teams to watch smh, they be defaulting until 30 sec left on the timer

Maybe other regions should copy EMEA then? Considering more LAN tournament wins than all of the other regions put together ;)

Emea is jumbled because fut, liquid, bbl and sometimes even giants play so puggy. They both play for picks extensively. Americas has Brazilian aggression bust most teams are more protocol heavy surprisingly. APAC is mostly fast, t1 and prx both go insanely fast and aggressive.

the scene develops more every few months. What horrible logic. More teams is better but all these majors had months of qualifying (lcq, splits, etc) except one - the show tournament. You can easily consider the majors to have hundreds of teams & lock in had only 30

yeah honestly cant really categorize each region too much imo because it all depends on the individual teams. Comparing C9 to NRG is like night and day, and so is DRX vs PRX, NAVI vs FUT

No way you call EMEA boring. We have arguably most enjoyable Pearls because no Harbor and overall teams avoid that map, NaVi and even some other teams cooking all the time like we have seen so much Yoru from NaVi and even Heretics. Turkish teams going crazy on duels and Liquid and Giants following them with pretty similar style. Kcorp is just fun and sad team to watch especially earlier. And overall I feel like EMEA has always had bunch of aggressive games where rounds end in blink of an eye but people still call the whole region slow and boring.

As an emea fan, please hop off the copium over emea pearl. That shit IS STRAIGHT ASS

Never seen a single emea team be good at pearl. And not playing harbor is an argument against it not for ot, as it just proves they dont understand the map AT ALL.

Riot does consider it a major, A lot of pros do as well. Also if you're gonna say lock-in does not count because it was for show, then by that logic, you also should not count masters since it's a glorified qualifier for champs.

Something being enjoyable is subjective, but I still think the only time Pearl was fun to watch was when PRX played it at champs 22 after that it just became a spam fest, that map has got to go.

no one thinks of masters as a qualifier. also, im not saying anything. the tournament objectively had a show format and was stated by riot to be a kick off tournament to start the year. some of the newer teams didn't even practice yet

I wouldn't really call single elim a show format, it's brutal yes, but the winning team still had to win 5 in a row and 2 bo5s to come out on top and it shows who the best at adapting to a new meta. If the people who created the game and main circuit count it as a major then it is one.
Idrc who wins, I just like seeing upsets but I know it can be annoying when people keep bringing up past events but let them talk, whatever team you like can win the next one and it can be your turn.

single elim, no competition to make the tournament, only franchise teams, match ups weren't really random (region vs region for views). even fnatic said they now have to win a real major

emea pearl is the most enjoyable because nobody knows how to play it. Pearl in its "theoretically perfect" form is just a spam battle and lets go B simulator.

💀💀💀 bro started watching valorant in 2023. The Guard were known for explosive site execs. They were called NA Gambit because of their work ethic. In terms of playstyle, they were closer to DRX if anything
