Can someone explain to me why SEA and BR have 2 slots for championships but Korea only has 1?What have these regions achieved for them to deserve 2 slots? The answer is nothing, the SEA and Br valorant scene is a joke compared to NA,EU and KR. I agree SEA and Br should have 1 slot, but 2?Thats just undeserved and unfair to other KR teams that would completely destroy X10 and Sharks on any given day

These regional slots were set sometime in 2020, they're bound to change around Berlin LAN.

Heck, BR definitely needs to be merged with LATAM or EMEA needs to be split into EU, CIS and Turkey.

Well i certainly hope they change them,it was a bad idea to begin with to announce the major slots before we get a LAN event to determine which regions are superior

these slots were announced way before intl matches and are obv not based on performance. They're mostly based on playerbase size and Riot's esports and marketing dept. Korea has the lowest ranked playerbase out of all the regions (smaller than LATAM). Meanwhile SEA ranked playerbase is almost as large as NA.

That's because SEA server is combined with a bunch of regions and it's not phone number locked like Korea. The leaderboards of SEA is filled with Koreans at the top level, while no one that doesn't possess a Korean phone number or email can access Korean servers.

SEA has less viewership than Korea, playerbase wise they're merged with Korea, and they aren't as good. If anything they should let all of SEA + Korea compete for Champions slot.

You can cry how much you want bro the truth is that Brazil has a tradition in FPS games.

Point Blank: 3 times world champions
Crossfire: 3 times world champions
Cs 1.6: MiBR
CSGO: 2 majors
R6: We are top 3 right now.

It has always been like that, Brazil always struggle at the beginning and dominate later.

This is kinda strange. If Berlin has two kr slots then why only one slot in champions?!

Because they added the Berlin Winner and Last Chance quali slots

I'm not saying I agree with it. Just stating a fact. I'm sure Riot realizes this and will adjust for future events.

Its simple, this is the first international championship, they dont know how the teams will play against each other, they just assume that BR would be as good as in CSGO, next year things will change.

how they give the slots? based on player count right? cause its 100% not because of region LVL.
its number 1 trash that EU CIS and Turkey have to compet between them for 3 slots while weak regions like br and Latam have 4 total slots.
Japan and SEA have gotten weak performances too and still get 4 slots.

so basically every strong region gets 2-3 slots but the only one that gets less is EU-CIS-Turkey, like they have a average of 1 per region while having to fight each other to get 1 spot so probably not even 1 guaranteed spot fo any of the 3 regions, if 1 of these regions doesn't qualify valorant will be in a all time low in europe.

If your region is so powerfull so you will win the championship with 1 or 4 slots. SEA(LMS in league) Won league Worlds 2 with 1 spot.

LMAO what a braindead opinion.

By this logic let's invite 1 NA, 1 EMEA, 1 BR team, and rest 13 from Japan. Cuz why not, strongest team will win it all anyway. Why even bother creating opportunities for Turkey and CIS to shine right?

WTF man, the point is that all regions need at least one spot, that's part of the representation, and of course the regions that are better deserve more spots, but it's no use fighting for spots now because the entire riot calendar for the year has already been defined. And if one team is the strongest it will beat all the others in any way.

Probably they set the slots depending on the number of players in the region, maybe it's unfair but I get the Riot point that is to early to make a region tier list
