Same, clear has a future and he’s very young but he is also very inconsistent and if yay is an option it’s a no brainer

true but what really is the issue with dsg? they have talented players but even with exalt they were still doing badly. maybe if -clear +yay makes the team better, i would be happy since i want them to win. but would it solve their issues?

They looked slightly better with exalt as he was more consistent compared to clear.

Yeah. One of their issues were lack of star power that every other t2 team had, and clear was sadly inconsistent at that. I wish he stays tho, he’s fun to watch.

Obviously you want clear to develop but he performed poorly last split and Yay is literally the best fragger in NA. Even if Clear reaches his peak next split he'd probably still be worse than what Yay is. It's a no brainer in my mind especially if Yay isn't asking for too much. It would obviously suck for clear and you'd feel super bad for his growth in the future but he would be back and I know plenty of teams would be very happy to have him.

they can only replace 1 more player, so they HAVE to keep at least 3 of steel, ghengsta, xiff, and clear. my best guess is either they replace clear with yay, or more role swaps relating to riku

he can't roster lock.
It is a win-win situation if he joins DSG. If he wins ascension, he makes tier 1. If not, a franchise team is going to pick him up after the season is over.

They're quite unlikely to win ascension, and even if they do, I'm not sure toast would be able to fund them there. There's a big diff funding a challengers team vs a franchise one.

I'm fairly certain riot provides funding (to an extent) to franchise teams, which would include ascension winners

I realize that. It would not be enough for a single steamer (no matter how rich they are) to continue funding them that way.

Yeah, I rather have him in t2 than not at all. He gets a salary, can still scrim and compete to prove himself to the doubters. And it’s less of a question mark when the time is up and he can get signed to t1 team. Nobody will be able to say “he didn’t play for 6 months, and a lot has changed. so is he actually still good?”
