spookmeister [#3]idk some “gaming” keyboards are pretty solid, as long as they’re not the cheapo 20 dollar Amazon ones
Logitech is pretty good at least
But gaming headphones… ew. I didn’t realize how bad they were until I got myself a pair of Grados and Staxs.
studio headphones are always the go to. Gaming headphones are really bad.

technically you can make the argument that the increased bass in gaming headphones is good for bullets/footsteps whatever sounds but like… nah.
Pair of good headphones changed my life

This post is sponsored by Sony. Buy the Sony WH-CH720N, only for the low low price of 150 USD !

Agree with headphones but I'd say big brand gaming kb's are pretty shitty for their price range; very plasticky and thin stock keycaps. Compare that to a similarly priced filco with a sturdy heavy metal backplate and decent stock keycaps is like night and day to me.

I have them, they are dogshit af.
I use hyperx cloud 2 instead

for gaming you only need a headphone with a really huge soundstage.
bass in gaming headphone rather than for bullets/footsteps sounds, its more of for immersion which kinda trick people into listen a better bullets/footsteps sounds.
burritx [#9]nah bro membrane keyboards are actual dogshit, its even trash for regular use
chair is personal tbh
A lot of mech keyboards don't have any gaming branding.

almost all studio headphones come with EQ software or you can just install one for free if its really troubling you
TakoSaki [#6]hyperx headphones r pretty good
zowie mouse crazy
asus monitors the best imo
ikea stool > gaming chair
keyboard doesnt make all too much difference to me
plastic chair better 🗿

That’s true. I got my Logitech keyboard for almost 75% off 🗿 so maybe that’s changing my perspective on it. I’d probably be dissatisfied if i paid full for it.
oggiebtw [#11]chair for sure, crazy that gaming chair companies are still in business. Office chairs are much cheaper and usually much better
most people buy gaming chairs for the looks. but i agree that office chairs are much better in general

Ngl I don’t know if my Grados came with any. I got my Stax pair secondhand as well (they’re from the 70’s but are still god tier💀) so def nothing coming with those.
Have any good free EQ recommendations?

sony paid me for a sponsorship but limited my speech so i cant talk shit about them
To be fair there is a of gaming branded stuff in each category that doesn't suck. Mainly because people realised the potential to sell some of their premium products with gaming attached as a marketing thing. There's some solid "gaming keyboards" that are reasonably priced nice mechanicals. And headphones wise a lot of proper audio companies started making "gaming options" which were just slapping a microphone on their premium headphones (Sennheiser is a good example)

I bought a 60% hyper x kb with metal backplate and red switches for 80 USD, no issues whatsoever.

Zowie have best shapes and build quality but they use outdated hardware and they are heavy
