When the coach for C9 says "Role clash" How can there be a role clash? Yay clearly plays the Duelist Role. When they signed him did they not think this through or what?

Leaf has always been flexible but is better placed on Jett/Raze but has played many other roles before.

Some say Yay can only really hard play Jett

And Zel can play Neon and Raze.

i doubt the role clash is the main issue.
i believe the roster is capable of making roles work.
theres something outside the server thats impacting the decision.
yay's tweet also hints at that

Eh, sort of new but I know yay played Jett on Envy. I saw people sort of saying he is a fake duelist because he plays characters that get away quickly and not true duelists without a get out of jail free card

Role clashing might be bc yay is used to sentinel bc of chamber oping, and the previous season, he barely touched a duelist, with the rare jett at times. honestly yay's playstyle suits sentinel as well, as he's more of a calm type of player that doesn't push that easily

there is a role clash, there always was. When C9 picked Yay everyone was talking about the role clash, C9 said they would make it work and I think in one of their videos Vanity said they working around it. But apparently, not so true. They didn't do well at the Red Bull tourney and didn't do well at Lock In.
Pretty weird they drop 2022s top player over a role issue. Surely Yay is the last person you would want to drop.

Edit: Xeppa, Leaf and Vanity have been the C9 core for quite a while so I am assuming they didn't want to break that. Zellsis is flex so doesn't directly have a role clash with Yay.

Then again, it could be completely different and related to money. C9 lost quite a lot of sponsors last year I believe, they dropped their Apex roster too.

they thought leaf is a better jett than yay. they think yay is a sentinel player, which he isnt. the other 3 took leaf's side over this than yay's side because they believe the same. basically ego issues over accepting yay is better than them.
