60 to 144 hz diff

im getting my last pc part tomorrow and wondering if the difference when upgrading ur tech is actually notable or exaggerated

for ref i'm hardstuck asc 1 on a laptop that tinkers out like 90 fps avg at 60 hz. it's a good machine just not for gaming zz

so good pc and monitor: overrated? or actually a big difference maker?

60 to 144 hz/fps is a massive difference and will be immediately noticeable

beyond that you get diminishing returns, but 60 -> 144 is a big difference maker

update nobody asked for: holy fuck i was playing a gimped version of the game

i sucked for the first day because of adapting but since then i’ve been 25+ kills every game for the last 7

it feels like the enemies are in slow motion gee gee

It's indeed a difference, which isn't that much by experience is those smaller jumps (like 120 to 144 or 144 to 165)
