The exploit was done twice intentionally.
Stated in the rules that is was not allowed.

VK did something similar and was punished with a round penalty.
guild just get to replay the game from an early round.

Dont think the kj bug is comparable as i doubt it was done intentionally

Was the punishment fair?

I think they got off light if what the broadcast said was true. They claimed that Riot warned Guild about it after they did it in Round 18 and then they proceeded to do it again the very next round

honestly they should've just given acend the game, if guild got 2 rounds off of the exploit and only won by 2 rounds in overtime

Bro don’t try to justify or understand Riot’s bug/exploit policy. Don’t try to find a pattern, this is not like the US where it works by precedents. Every tournament has its refs and they basically do whatever tf they want. Same exploits have different punishments all over the world and sometimes even changes with time in the same region

This is one of the biggest issues with Val competitive rn, idk why is it so hard for Riot to make it clear and standardize it

Well that is not actually just Riot, it's more that they leave the organization of tournaments to different companies in different parts of the world, Freaks 4 u in EMEA for example (idk if they do the girls too). So it kinda just relies on random companies and each one does whatever tf they want
