Sentinels Realistically

I understand people say that Americas franchising will be suffering a loss without Sentinels, but tbh if you think about it everyone will move on.

  • TSM were in the same spot in 2021 being a hot team from the previous year that people dwelled on. TSM also couldn't adapt and live up to the previous year's standard that the fans had put up for them. TSM is also the biggest org in the world (in terms of net-worth). Eventually the team dissolved and fans moved on to other teams.
  • The exact same thing could happen to Sentinels if they don't make franchising, and eventually everyone will move on.

Be as mad as you want at this take, but Sentinels doesn't need to be in Americas franchising, and I honestly see Riot going with an org that they have a longer-standing relationship with.

You honestly don’t believe they’ll make it into franchising??

I just feel like they'd be doing orgs like EG dirty if they didn't

Orgs like EG don't bring in as much viewership as Sentinels and you can say that they had a better showing than sentinels at the end of 2022 but being good at the end of a year can only take you so far

In all reality i believe sentinels build an amazing esports environment, i.e apex and valorant. Sen also has good financials. For the first point look at Zellsis on V1 he was good and somewhat popular he comes over to SEN they build him into a content machine. There is no chance SEN doesn't make it.

Sentinels have been dog shit in whole 2022 but still pull biggest viewership BY LARGE MARGIN. I don't think NA fans will move on that quick

That's how TSM was, but consistent bad results yeilds less fans and less viewers
Whens the last time you saw a delusional tsm fan?

but they sill pulled big viewership in their VCT matches this year (on par with 100T, behind only SEN)

I mean Valorant is what made SEN popular no? I knew of them slightly from the fact that they had signed Bugha the fortnite pro. I think if it boils down to picking say EG or SEN, something tells me they lean towards SEN purely based on the fact that SEN will pull content numbers, now if it’s a battle between say SEN and TSM for the last partnership slot, I 100% see it going to TSM.

Fair take

I think what a lot of people are forgetting is the fact that Riot is really content driven, unfortunately I don’t really see that from the side of EG unless I’m just blind? XSET is another org that Riot is probably heavily leaning towards too I’d assume, XSET’s brand has always been suuper content driven so it wouldn’t surprise me if they get a slot.

Nah no way XSet make it sorry.
I will literally eat my words if they do

I mean who knows man it’s all speculation till it gets announced but hey, it wouldn’t surprise me if they make it, that’s all I’m saying.

i see what ur saying but I'm pretty sure riot wants to prioritize sales, no other team in NA can bring in as much sales as Sentinels can. Sentinels have the biggest name in Valorant on their Organization. THEY HAVE TARIK, THEY HAVE TENZ

The only think I have an issue is clearly management inside of the org is doing a shitty job for competition. They just get naturally talented played and let them rot by not hiring proper coaching, analyst, and team management staff. The players shouldn't be the ones producing the content they should just merely be featured. LCQ thought you could tell they were getting actual individuals to produce the content and it seemed it did well for them so hopefully its the right direction

I think they will restructure/more competitive based and less clout based next year. They already have solid fanbase, they no need to bring in Shroud or another clout player in team anm. The fact is most SEN fans wanted to kick Shroud after that lose againts 100T. They must know that their ''fans'' won't be there forever if their team keep being shit

tbh we have 0 clue what's going on w the team competing wise We can assume all we want but only the players know

Realistically my post is that I don't care if Sentinels make it as an org and neither should you
People will move on no matter what orgs are in it

and after the whole shroud signing there is literally no argument against this, even though hes not signed anymore

SEN and TSM both great orgs to bring numbers and viewers

but

SEN and TSM also means we'll be at least one setp below EU League in competitivity.
