unbiased post here

I saw the replay

and honestly, its def a replayable situation

the first kj turret bullet goes heaven because angel hides

the second kj turret bullet goes towards angel because hes in the open

but the third kj bullet? angel is even more in the open but the kj turret bullet goes towards heaven again, thats def a bug

I personally dont think they need to replay the round because small bugs happen all the time

but if riot are trying to determine if it was a bug, it was 100% a bug

it's been like this ever since kj's release. This is not fair for FPX

he got out of the turret pov, you can see from before the turret shoots at all. Angel was out then he goes to the side and the turret sees him, then the turret "bug" happens

yes but before the clip begins hes in the same spot and the turret didnt see. So he was out in the open out of the pov, then he moves close to the edge of door, and he gets into the turret pov. Then the turret shoots behind, angel goes back out, it shoots at him, then he goes more open but out of the turret pov causing the turret to shoot back once again.

If the damage dealt to ange1 was to be influencial I'd say replay, but idk it's seems too much, he did get spotted after all, which is the important part of the turret, but let's see

But that is how KJ turret works it really isn't a bug. Its just fault in the game and FPX didn't abuse it.

yup, but riot is deciding if it was a bug in order to replay the round

if they can replicate it in custom then round should not be replayed

I mean that is just how KJ turret works. Obviously maybe in that specific situation it bugged or something, but similar has happened in pro games before and even my own games. Turret just shoots to opposite direction from where the enemy is because it starts the burst but then resets position when player disappears from pov

I’m obviously biased so I’m gonna ask you, obviously that turret was not supposed to be shooting there, my question is in your opinion how much does that affect the round?

I personally dont think they need to replay the round because small bugs happen all the time

this is my stance, would suck for FPX if it replayed, but its not a black and white decision

Yeah but I meant, do you think they would have still won the round?

Im going to be honest with you, from a immortal valo player

that kj turret bullets slows u down while u take chip damage if u dont break it, there is 0 chance to know if fpx wouldve won or not

but the real question is, is the kj turret actually bugged in that single instance? or, does it always work like that? if they go in custom server can they replicate it?

I mean why would it work like that? Isn’t the turret supposed to only shoot enemy’s? Both enemy’s were coming from the other side right? Idk bro, sucks to end like this, but I don’t think a replay would be fair

this bug has been in the game for so long at this point it's a mechanic, can't even count how many rounds in ranked I had griefed with this

This is what I saw:

Remember the KJ turret has a 180-degree view, it can't lock on to players behind it.

The first jiggle out activates the turret and it shoots one bullet.
He jiggles back behind the door of the wall and the turret locks back to default and shoots its second shot.

He jiggles back out even wider and the turret shoots its 3rd shot heaven as he is behind the turret's 180 view as he swung so wide so the turret goes back to default and shoots heaven.

You're asking why it didn't target him when he was 'in the open' it's because he was behind the turret's 180-degree view.

This has been a feature for so long, I don't think FPX's win should be taken away because of this.

yeah after rewatching it for 3rd time Im pretty sure this should not be replayed lol

edit: actually im not sure anymore, LOL

the thing is they can't even call it a bug, how is riot supposed to 'fix' the turret mechanic in that situation?

Where should the turret look if ANGE1 went behind it, where is the turret supposed to look when he jiggles back in?

How are you supposed to code a working turret mechanic that doesn't do what it just did in-game because it did exactly what it code told it to do, lock onto anyone in its view and ANGE1 went in and out of its view. His movement clearly shows that he wasn't trying to abuse this mechanic either.

FPX can't be robbed of this win because of that.
