Redefines the meta with new strats, execs and comps and is projected to be in the finals, but chokes due to bad mental and pressure. DRX is the Val version of 2016 Astralis lmfao

DRX didnt really define the meta though, like they have very unique strats but they havent caught on internationally

How? No duelist meta , post plant meta (Astra, viper) Skye, Kayo (NA starting using those agents early as well though) Neon (Optic and Liquid but also Drx) Literally any icebox mid play. Most strats and comps used in international play is from drx lmfao. Like most execs optic use are from drx. Literally half the fucking teams in Copenhagen have used a drx comp

no duelist was first used at high level by g2 (the triple sentinel icebox comp)
v1 started the post plant meta in first iceland (running viper+kj+ astra on haven) before it got nerfed
picking up new agents isnt a DRX thing either lol, 100T steel played kayo in NA before DRX
Neon comps actually were used first by M3C, and optic said they copied their comp soon after
the mid postplant bonus round setup on icebox with KJ lineups that i think youre referencing was actually done by Alliance in EU before DRX

DRX is a good team but they dont define the meta

yeah most of the things you said are right, however they did bring out and popularized a lot of set strats

oh definitely, they have some cool set strats that surprise teams early in the tournament, but they never defined the meta, if they did they mightve got past top 6

actually I would say it was liquid for no duelist comps and fnatic for postplant meta

forgot about fnatic doing postplant too tbh, still wouldnt say liquid defined meta because no duelist comps didnt catch on until the g2 icebox ones, the liquid and fnatic ones (triple controller bind) werent that good

drx had consistent success with no duelist, while liquid had mixed results imo

FYI no duelist comp was first used by TL against FPX in haven

yeah, but no duelist haven is not meta. the icebox one was the first one that lots of teams started to use

i'm not 100% on things from further back in the past, but drx 100% popularised the triple initiator, no duelist on ascent and breeze which are both quite popular in the current meta

g2 icebox comp was a common comp back in the day, they just did a jett -> chamber 1 to 1 change

do you even know anything about the history of the game? NA said skye was dogshit and refused to play it until they saw how EU played it in Iceland
