Keznit Situation

I've already commented this somewhere, but I wanted to reiterate for those who didn't read it and don't understand cultural bias.

People don't understand cultural bias.
There's a Korean word that very much sounds like the N-word and is very often used as its essential to the language.
Especially since Koreans aren't even aware of the struggles that black people faced in America/around the world they shouldn't be expected to be censoring themselves for a word that bares a resemblance to another.
Keznit is not aware that he said anything racist as what he said has no racial meaning to him.
Now that he was made aware he has very obviously not said anything to the affect of what he had previously stated.
Trying to take his career away for something that wasn't offensive to him is downright ridiculous in my opinion

Common Mjtchell W, people gotta stop misinterpreting information then acting like they’re victims, fans are taking more offence than the players themselves (who understood what keznit meant from the beginning)

it shouldn't even be deep, when you consider the fact he's actually good friends with lots of BR players including aspas and loud players and many more. He got sanctioned from being toxic in 1 scrim thats it. he said the guy looked like CJ and the other dude said he and mazino looked like other 2 fictional characters. guess what? all 3 fucking look like the characters, and it was just toxicity from the three players (btw dgzin was the one who started the shittalk). it's not as deep as "he said he was a gang member bc hes black" no... he just looks like CJ and thats it.

keznit is friends with most of these BR players, and it's ridiculous that certain brazilians take any excuse to play victim and make controversy...

P.S. these brazilians are also a minority (just a very vocal one) most brazilians honestly still know that LATAM and BR are manitos 🤝❤️

very poor comparison. it's not the same thing. LATAM countries DO UNDERSTAND racism and keznit know the multiple things he said were offensive.

Koreans also understand racism, but they don't completely get the picture that, that specific word could bear resemblance to a slur.
Literally read anyone else in addition to me and you'd understand you're wrong.

factually wrong and playing victim for no reason. primate thing was literally him and aspas calling each other the equivalent of "bro" or "mate" and ppl making it a dumb thing. dgzin thing was literally your average shittalk, but blown out of proportion by the guy who started the shittalk (dgzin himself) which is wrong but really really far from racist

Racism is everywhere but expecting targetting someone for their language just because of similarities between words is beyond absurd and immature.

There is a chinese word that sounds like the n-word but means something completely different obviously, and is used very commonly, but the amount of people that get offended by it is offensive in of itself.

People are overreacting to something they do not understand anything about, yet they think the whole world revolves around themselves.

my school friends were saying the n word all day since they heard it in american songs a lot and thought it was cool and from my experience I didnt learn it was this offensive until very recently, some would call the n word as a joke to a friend who had a darker skin, hope americans learnt this, best way to make it less offensive is stop making it a taboo

its not bait, the world is becoming more globalized and ppl from every corner of the world are interacting with each other, so it is important that they know about world history and the struggle of certain people and how this word was used to oppress them, ig north kr can still use it bc they have closed borders, but if ur from south kr they should be more aware

no, if im korean i will speak my language when I want to and will not change it because some random fucking foreigner who has nothing to do with the country's history said so. If im not mistaken the similar word in korean is literally mean "Me" or "I". Nobody gonna fucking change this kid.

I don't know the context but I'm gonna take its as a common English L. People who speak English forget that other languages exist. Ya know they guy on tik tok rn who said itadakimasu (Thanks for the meal in Japanese, I believe) who is getting trolled cause he said it fast and it sounded like the Nword. English speakers are fucking brain dead, myself included.

This is going to sound crazy but I think it is necessary that something happens to keznit so that all those who have collaborated in creating hatred towards him in the OFFICIAL broadcast of Brazil are fired. Brazil has a very serious education problem, it is inexplicable how their region has threatened to kill so many players without consequence. Their own referents of the scene feed it, in Spain you do something like that and the referents always condemn it.

I’m sorry but k-pop is not western culture. What do you think the k stands for in k-pop. Also, those other things were not changed from old Korean culture, sure, they come from the west but they were integrated into the korean culture and didn’t replace anything of particular importance. What you want to do would be drastically changing their culture and their vocabulary because the word in question means you/I in korean.

Why should they change an important part of their language because some random person who has no idea about korean culture said so. Koreans never tried to change black people’s culture so why do you think that they have a right to other people’s culture. Also, how does any of this affect you in any way? Its their culture and at the end of the day you need to respect it. The word was never intended to disrespect black people so why in the world do you care?

There is a difference between a culture taking parts of foreign culture, adapting and integrating it into their own, and being forced to take parts of a foreign culture (while your own just has no need for it currently since it isn't causing issues).
Wishing for "western culture" (not that you can even define such a thing currently) to be template for all other cultures is just plain destructive.
