It really does look like they're sticking with just 10 teams. That's incredibly disappointing to see.

I suppose being optimistic it means that they must have a secondary system to allow the other teams to qualify into top-level competition since I can't imagine they'd be okay with just stringing orgs like Shopify that have T1 female rosters out to dry.

sad but understandable. Rn Riot will only accept big orgs with settled fanbases

Terrible company! I will be taking my viewership to Valve, where they know how to actually run an esport!

Do you personally watch league of legends tho?

I can't stand an esport in which there are 2 international tournaments per year, and both have dogwater formats, and one of them is literally only for champions

How is it understandable tho?
Who even came up with the shitty Idea to only have 3 regions. The amount of regions that are competitive is one of the numbe rone things that make val esports so good

I think it works for them, there are the numbers that are growing year after year.

we dont know if they are sticking to 10 teams. rejecting 60% teams doesnt mean there are only like 15 left in each region. it still can very well be 12 teams

NA and APAC have been on the lower end of the competition just slightly though.

If NA merges with South America, teams like KRU and Loud adding to NA makes them competitive.

Also, Zeta and DRX joining APAC make them equal to EU.

This solves the minor region - major region conflict but I think slots should be allotted accordingly.

Personally, I believe 10 slots is just too less for APAC. So many good teams with a similar level of competition.
