FPX vs DRX

Will not be surprised if FPX look stronger vs DRX tomorrow, I would wager they focused a lot on DRX coming into groups because on paper they are the strongest competition they'll have (within groups I mean).
FPX looked shaky this game but they had good ideas, just bad mistakes. If they work on them and iron them out before tomorrow, they'll likely be a different team.

Nah FPX looked too shaky idk about DRX though but expecting it to be either close or DRX sided

Yeah I believe they couldn’t really prepare anything because they were more worried about who will make it to Copenhagen add the fact that this is some of the players first lan without their arguably best player and this becomes a bit messy

the same case can be said with DRX too. if they're not tilted than I would probably say drx take the series with ease.

good point, FPX problem was 100% composure and not making individual mistakes, they are looking clean tactically and aim

yeah, their aim is good, but they made so many mistakes it's crazy. fundamentals won them the series.

Can't we say the same about DRX? :)

it's possible too.

DRX should win, but I feel like DRX could be better fit for FPX. DRX kind of closer to EU style and have more set stuff if I'm not wrong. While Xerxia is all over the place.

no chance FPX wins, if you say FPX has been preparing against DRX, then I can also say that DRX has prepared against FPX as these two are the best teams in that group. Since DRX has a full roster and FPX looked really shaky versus Xerxia, DRX wins

we'll see. I believe FPX can put up a fight.

100% agree with this point and could also make it vice versa for DRX

Yep! Currently not a fan of their roster rn but the rumored roster (T3xture, Ssun, Lakia, Esperanza, Exy) looks like it has extremely big potential.

another w user. There are precious few of us DWG fans around here :( Damwon fans have good reason to be excited about the new roster though, DWG will look like favourites to qualify for Champions, which sounds great.

Agreed! I feel like the final could be DWG vs NTH(if they don't make the dream run) or one of the Chinese teams which look really great rn. I just wish for the best to the DWG players, especially t3xture.

T3xture deserves an international event, he’s stuck with DWG from the start and he’s good enough to make it there. The Chinese teams will beat anyone who doesn’t take them seriously, and I agree about the Japanese team, NTH or Zeta will probably be favourites to qual, but I’d like to see them play DWG in the finals, the rumoured roster looks like a good match against those teams

The chinese teams are pretty hyped up (specially EDG) no way teams don’t take them seriously they scrim against each other so they will already have a good idea of each other

I'm actually excited for this, finally a hard game for DRX in groups
let's see how they will do

probably the strongest groups opponents DRX has had except for Acend back at M3 Berlin. They demolished Acend 2-0 then but I'm not sure if it's gonna happen again.

acend was in their own heads that match and after it they perma banned haven all year long 😂
imo DRX playstyle was the best counter to ACEND's so it was an easy game for DRX back in masters

HAHA, I think Acend were just outclassed tbh. DRX's Haven was the best in the world during 2021. They beat Champs Fnatic on it and Gambit just straight up banned it vs them. Now the meta comp core for Haven is DRX's 2021 comp lolll

cNed still did insanely well that series too. Just kinda shows how good he is.

yeah true, but imo fpx will win this, fpx make every game look sloppy for them and the opponent fr
if DRX gets dragged into their mess i'm afraid they're gonna lose.
so 55/45 in favour of fpx is my prediction

reasonable. I'm a bit worried for DRX tbh, I don't know what's going on within each team during prep for today but FPX have surely made a lot of improvements.

However, if it's the same FPX that played yesterday vs XIA, I would not hesitate to say DRX 2-0 unless they somehow lose all of the discipline they had.

DRX 100% looked better overall as a team tbh. They got great value out of their eco rounds especially. Shao just decided to smurf on those kids tho. Won so many rounds for them, I can't count how many 3ks he got.

yes but this always always always happen DRX look better as a team but lose eventually, i'm trying to explain this since forever
DRX hit their ceiling and they need a change bcz this is not working imo

#32

Honestly it's nothing surprising. I can't really think of any changes DRX need as their biggest underperformer just popped off (Rb)

Gambit permaban is haven(in 2021 atleast) they only left it by choice vs guild this year stage 2 groups
