so my friend(a girl) and me were talking for awhile because i had a crush on her - things didnt work out and she like(d) someone else. (this was kinda a back story)
Im also close friends with her cousin, so i gave him a $75 giftcard for his birthday. i later sent her a snap and she responded asking why i didnt get her anything for her birthday kinda in a joking manor. we talked for awhile and i said i'd give her something; i asked what she wanted she said money i said how much she said $100. i said i would give it to her
the last few days we've been talking and ive noticed shes really only talking to me just to get the $100. she started saying how like i cant tell her cousin im giving it to her and to be discrete about it and stuff, which is what really made me realize she just wanted the money. she also kept telling me "we should get matching hoodies or outfits" and after a day of talking about it i asked her, "when are you gonna buy your pair of clothes?" she said "oh" "im broke", which made me REALLY realize she didnt want to get matching with me she just wanted me to buy her some clothes that were kinda expensive

tonights the night im supposed to give it to her. do i confront her or do i just give it to her and hope im wrong?

btw she said she doesnt like the guy anymore and was what i felt like flirting but idk she changes moods quickly and acts different.

Anyone who expects or even asks(as money not item) to get a gift worth of 100$ doesn't deserve gifts to begin with in my opinion (esp when you guys have just started talking to each other). I don't know about the rest, because I don't know you or this person. But gift part is dumb from her and the fact that she specifically said "money" like if that was proper gift in this instance anyway at least sounds weird.
