Well said, they're looking a lot better in other aspects now at least

posted about 2 years ago

They were able to qualify for tokyo though so I think EDG at least deserve to be here - idk if that's your stance or not, there's just a lot of people who say CN didn't deserve these slots. Ig it's more related to the people who thought they'd dominate, and tbf (this is why I think you should watch) they were not far off from it, they always put themselves in great win situations (post plants with man advantage etc.) just to miss EVERY spray onto the defuse through smokes - I think it's a pretty small thing they can work on before their next game and if they could kill the defuser they would've ended multiple halves 9-3 against T1. Unlucky today, but hopefully they can show results later

Isn't enough for what? Being the top 3 teams? Ofc not, I don't think EDG is a top 3 team I just think they deserve to be at Tokyo, there's a lot of people saying they don't deserve it at all but I mean every single match they've played is very close, and also entertaining as hell tbh I mean just think of what the jp crowd thought of kk's plays today (and before you say it, ofc entertaining isnt enough but given they were 12-11 at one point then I think it's a fair point to bring up, ofc it doesnt work for a team who got demolished just cause one of their jetts is popping off)

posted about 2 years ago

Guess who didn't watch the match? 🫵

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah fair enough, I think they were just overthinking it far too much. Tbf though EDG were playing a lot better strat-wise surprisingly and T1 were the ones pulling out the individual game saving plays - I thought it'd be the other way around ngl, they just really really really suck at spraying the spike defuse (prob cuz no-one in CN ever just sticks the defuse..)

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah its prob cause he still flexes onto Jett sometimes, like when they played bind recently

posted about 2 years ago

Idk didn't watch, I mean all in all if I'm being serious then EDG could've avoided losing to luck if they actually worked on their postplants cause their sprays were never hitting. It was just ridiculous in the moment seeing xeta missing a shot on a skye dog thus wallbang hsing someone in dugout. In the end T1 got pretty lucky in moments while EDG didn't but if they were one of the best teams like FNC etc. then luck wouldn't be enough to beat them - it's just unfortunate that everyone's gonna continue shitting on CN because they haven't won a match even tho it was very close and they've shown insane potential

posted about 2 years ago

I'd say he's better than saya

posted about 2 years ago

It's been almost a year since he started flexing so he def got the experience, idk if that still counts as "recent" but yah no hate

posted about 2 years ago

Tbh smoggy played better because life was ill with covid at the time. If you look at Life's stats on his recent game vs DRX his FKs are insane, unfortunately jett/raze is all he plays tho - smoggy the goat for flexing anything

posted about 2 years ago

Yah EDG choking in both league and val like tf

posted about 2 years ago

Tbh he did, chichoo looked a lil off tho today

posted about 2 years ago

The pearl curse, they need to ban that shit till its reworked bruh

posted about 2 years ago

If you say that then you must also think T1 is not very good then, I think from how EDG performed they deserve to be at Tokyo at least since they were 12-11 last map at one point.

Also I saw that MANY people think EDG were the better team even tho they lost - tarik included

posted about 2 years ago

Totally agree, what would you say those fundamentals are tho?

posted about 2 years ago

Honestly that's how I see it going

posted about 2 years ago

It's also because valorant hasn't released in CN, yet they're still able to put up such good performances.

posted about 2 years ago

There were definetely expectations for EDG to do well, especially based on how they almost 2-0d a PRX fresh from 2nd place masters, and a 100T seen as the best in NA at the time. However no one expected ASE to do as well as they did today, getting to 10-10 vs DRX on fracture in their first ever international game is insane.

posted about 2 years ago

Bit rarer tho cuz a lot of people hate on CN just because they hate the CCP which makes no sense

posted about 2 years ago

Tf are you talking about?? People have known how CN has played since last year.. and they've been attending every international event after champs, they're well known by APAC teams because they're a great scrim partner. 100T failed at antistratting them btw - Stellar said himself that he could not read EDG at all. And PRX is the pacific champion with the same aggressive style? Yet they're not getting antistratted?

You're only saying this because you clearly didn't watch the match, tarik also thinks it was one of the most entertaining matches he's watched and he watches like every single one ever. T1 pulls out the most insane clutches out of nowhere, kang kang is an absolute demon with the op, hitting noscopes, etc.

posted about 2 years ago

Honestly I think if there's anyone that can diff demon1 it'd be life - not even kk (maybe with an op but rifle? nah)

posted about 2 years ago

Nah that would've been fire bro robot starts rapping n shit

posted about 2 years ago

Watch EDG vs T1 and you'll be anything but bored. By far one of the most entertaining games I've seen at masters - half the reason was because of zmjjkk ngl

Also it's only the first year of franchising, give it some time and it will develop more competitively

posted about 2 years ago

Yup, I'm already seeing the effect that the international exposure has been having on them and they'll only keep improving from now on. Chichoo had quite an off day today too

posted about 2 years ago

Totally agree, ty for this post brotha. The nerves are definetely a huge factor for EDG's losses, they were not far off from beating all of PRX, 100T, and T1 today. Everytime it goes to OT they lose too, hoping they work on their post plants though.

posted about 2 years ago

It's fine guys EDG will have a similar redemption as they did in league. 3 times stopped just short of getting a win, I believe that they'll only improve from now on.

posted about 2 years ago

And the PRX game too, these guys always choke when they're only 1-2 rounds away from winning, in another world they'd have won all 3 by now

posted about 2 years ago

the only issue for EDG atm is they suck at spamming the defuse for some reason, they NEVER aim at the right spot. They could've taken map halves 9-3 if they can just deny the stick but ig CN region just not used to playing post plant.

Honestly, I think EDG can beat NAVI/NRG if they just fix that aspect

posted about 2 years ago

Do yall think if EDG or ASE can win any lower bracket games based on their performance so far?

Teams will definetely abuse how EDG just suck at stopping defuses
For ASE they might be able to surprise FUT but who knows

posted about 2 years ago

Tbf T1 did have viper + harbor ults, last time they used the combo kk couldn't do much with an op so

posted about 2 years ago

Just an aiming style, it's prob always to keep himself warmed up and ready to react. I find sometimes sweat can make the initial movement of a mouse more difficult than usual, so maybe he's accounting for that too. Also he does those shakes at around the same speed as a person swinging so it might help with tracking a wide peek

posted about 2 years ago

I think it was because of the harbor + viper ult that T1 had, where the last time they used it they won and kk couldn't do anything

posted about 2 years ago

So you think T1 is also weak or what? Did you even watch their match? CN as a whole is not used to playing post plants so it's definetely a weak aspect for them, but in every other regard EDG does look very good. With the right coaching and more international exposure they could definetely be a top contender. Dont forget ASE was toe to toe with DRX on fracture, that's what the analysts said. Not just me. CN players have insane mechanics and riot understands that the only thing they're lacking is exposure.

posted about 2 years ago

Well guess who didn't watch the match

posted about 2 years ago

I think most people agree that EDG looked like the better team ngl. But a win is a win, hope they can do something in the lower bracket - they need to improve their postplants

posted about 2 years ago

... so why'd you make this list?

posted about 2 years ago

He dropped op because harbor + viper ult? I think even if he killed the kj lurk the random wb hs kill into dugout gave them the man advantage

posted about 2 years ago

I do agree I think they need to improve on their post plant is what I mean. They're just coping by staying on site, I mean it worked a lot of times but not all

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah if only they were better in post plant

posted about 2 years ago

First time ever saying this about any match, that random doubledink wallbang into dugout cuz he was trying to shoot the dog wtf..

posted about 2 years ago

Holy fuck I'm wet

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah I'm lying kk is too entertaining

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah he was ill with covid too so he couldn't play well but role problems etc.

posted about 2 years ago

Honestly I think it'd be a good idea to replace kk with life

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah ik all I'm saying is that life was the reason they used to be very good

posted about 2 years ago

They are in a scrim circle with Pacific tbf. They've played alot against DRX, PRX, etc. but igwym real competition is different

posted about 2 years ago

Life was half the reason EDG was so dominant in East Asia LCQ, might be undoubtedly the best jett in CN

Without him EDG don't look that good anymore, they rely far too much on kk op..

posted about 2 years ago

it was net's fault not trent's, he swung far too early
