So icebox changes since its release weren't drastic enough? I think the problem that riot is trying to fix when changing a map isn't changing the meta, but instead things that make the map stale or boring. For example,pearls changes weren't to change the meta, but to reduce the over reliance on attackers 5 man rushing down b long, and they did that by making new angles for attackers to consider so that its easier to defend, even if the change was only a couple of boxes. Nerfing agents has almost nothing to do with map changes and everything to do with how an agent compares with the other agents in their respective role, and with all the agents in the game overall.

yeah im a delusional DRX fan but man did DRX do rb and zest so dirty with that preseason drop. honestly im shocked that both of them are still in franchising, not because they are bad (they are both fantastic players), but because there was not nearly enough time for franchising teams to consider picking them up and switchings things up so suddenly before the season began. zest is almost becoming the new scapegoat for bleed and im so glad he proved how good he is in the recent match. anyone who thinks zest is the problem on bleed doesnt know what they are talking about.

yeah they wouldnt struggle with a shock dart, but they would need to learn a lot of different util of many agents, and how to use them all at a high level. not just flashes and mollies, but also smoke timings like when to pop viper util and when not to, and others. im not saying they CAN'T get good at using these, but they definitely can't catch up instantly especially with over 20 agents and counting with unique abilities in the game that are unheard of in CS like raze blast packs and stuns etc etc.

average tier 1 player might be mid for franchising, but when you consider a lot of the talent that APAC and specifically indo has, i would say hes still above average. not quite mid in my eyes, however i understand if you disagree with me.

its this exact thing that means that they have to change everything they know in val that would create a gap between current valorant pros and them. the aim is easier, the util is easier, but there are wayyy more pieces of util that they would need to learn how to use, and being able to adapt to the whole enemy team having a different piece of util and your whole team having different pieces of util that would affect how they play and how they adapt to the game. Also the specific roles in CS that each player takes are defined much more easily and firmly in valorant because there are a set of agents with specific abilites for different roles on a team. not only would the CS switchers need to learn and adapt to this, but they would need to become more flexible because not everyone can take the OP role, or the entry role. The need for flexing is ever growing with every new agent added. This is why CS players will need loads of time to catch up, especially as valorant continues to evolve and the current valorant pros have already learned and established these fundamentals of the differences between valorant and CS in the last 1/2/3+ years that they have been playing for

one more kill and like i said, its not about impact. its seems obvious that fragging out on an agent who can heal or avoid a trade after every kill who also has an ult that auto heals and increases fire rate is easier to frag out on than an agent who flies around the map and has damaging util. but tbf raze has an ult that can get kills for free and multikills for free too. both feats are impressive but i predict its harder to pop 47 on raze in 36 rounds than getting 48 in 36 rounds on reyna.

Icebox is so fun when I play viper but breeze is horrible, even on a lurker role. All I do is wait for timings to walk up halls and b elbow every round, or I try to help my team entry and we all get slaughtered. The map is so hard to play. I need beautiful pearl or perfect Haven to come back 😫
