I also scraped vlr to get the players data, such as their ACS on top of their overall rating, yeah users can do that but I've made sure to include what they did when they publish their run (so if they changed a player's rating to 0 we'll know) I don't really know what would be best though!

first bug that I noticed : when a user changed a player or a team's ratings, it changed it for all users

I just fixed it

I was bored at work and got inspired by this post : https://www.vlr.gg/493514/valorant-world-cup-simulation
So I made a little website where you can simulate an entire tournament with all of cloudberry's teams including the rosters he choses (which are great imo)

Website link : https://valorant-worldcup.vercel.app/

I've assigned a rating to each team and player. If you disagree with any of the ratings I came up with feel free to just adjust them in the "Edit ratings" tab

To simulate the tournament, run the group stages followed by the playoffs, once that's done you'll have the option to publish your results to contribute to the global ranking. This ranking is all users' tournament runs, so we can see which teams win or lose the most, you'll have to sign up to publish your results

After a run you can click on the games to have a little match page with players kills/deaths/assists etc...

In the next update I wanna add more variables than just a global rating for players (such as gamesense, firepower, entrying, trading, clutching etc...) for more realistic simulations

Let me know if you see any bugs as I didn't quite debug the website yet, feel free to let me know about some updates you'll like to see too

Edit : fixed the bug where players would have unrealistic performances like 60 kills for 0 deaths

I was a professional valorant player, inarguably the best to ever touch the game, dropping at least 65 kills on every map, single handedly winning 13-0 every map for 2 years straight by dropping an ace every round.
vlr users kept calling me "unfert0le" as they couldn't accept the fact that a new young, handsome, amazing player like me could just hop into the league and destroy all of their favorite players.

It got me thinking, sure this was all a dream but I really am that fucking good, should I just go pro and show y'all? Or let the scene be "competitive" by staying out of it

whatever team with that faker guy in it will win

posted 2 months ago

yes, but with EVEN MORE TEAMS

posted 2 months ago

Next event just send every single team from every single region, we don't need regionals. Even if the event has to last 7 years I DON'T CARE

posted 2 months ago

yeah it's brutal how unforgiving the valorant scene is

posted 2 months ago

I wish we had as many games as CS does man, would be really cool to see teams gradually progress/fall apart in real time as opposed to "oh no games for 6 months I guess we'll see what that roster is gonna be like!!... oh no they're trash, ok I guess we'll see what they do next year since they are only gonna play 3 games in the next 5 months"

posted 2 months ago

that's mostly due to CS pace I feel like, if valorant had more game/events FNC could've dominated for far more than 2 events if they were right after one another, CS had like 7 international tournaments so far in 2025

posted 2 months ago

I mean the Mongolz are really good, definitely top 5 imo, they are showing that other regions can also be a threat and that EU is not the only region that can win tournaments

posted 2 months ago

they're gonna be fine they'll just ask the other players if they have any siblings and find another cracked turkish duelist in 3 minutes

posted 2 months ago

my braindead ass thinking it was an actually team with multiple players

posted 2 months ago

do they have an esport scene? Man I would so eat that

posted 2 months ago

I mean KC did have that financial fraud situation...

posted 2 months ago

I'm only talking about the throws he shows as "evidence", am I the only one who thinks that they aren't that big of a deal and could very much just be mistakes? It just feels like watching KC 2023, and sometimes I just straight up don't get it like when he says "He's walking with his knife out!!!" but to me mollying/stunning dish and then pushing with your knife out to walk faster towards T spawn makes some sense

posted 2 months ago

30 wins in a row, 6 international events in a row

posted 2 months ago

but that's fun imo, just like 2023 when we were waiting for the team to take down FNC, that's what made that EG FNC game so hype, because we knew they could've done it

posted 2 months ago

yeah but the randomness of val also makes it not fun

posted 2 months ago

gotta be the best tier 2 scene out of all regions no? I mean what teams could beat BCF or Enterprise? I feel like even t1 teams would struggle if not straight up lose against them

yay is definitely up there for me but until Leo falls off it's a no brainer to me that he's top 3, Leo has always been playing like this too so what prime are we actually talking about? Him having a better team and actually win trophies while individually being the same player? Because if a player's prime is individual based, then he's been in his prime for 4 years, obviously he's improved but his numbers are not that different from 2021, I didn't even cherry picked I actually clicked on random games from 2021, you can go check them out if you want you'll see that his numbers are almost identical to his current numbers on FNC

posted 2 months ago

No one’s denying that yay’s prime was impressive, just like Demon1’s and countless others who popped off before eventually falling off. The difference with Leo is that he hasn’t fallen off yet, he’s maintained an insane level of performance for 4 straight years, you're comparing that to a 2 year peak followed by a huge collapse, yay was god awful on Disguised and BLEED and now he’s just average on EG. Leo’s been farming since 2021:
https://www.vlr.gg/10931/wieca-vs-guild-esports-champions-tour-europe-stage-1-challengers-2-open-qualifier-ro64
https://www.vlr.gg/12924/team-bds-vs-guild-esports-champions-tour-europe-stage-1-masters-decider-b

And I'm sure if Leo didn't get sick he probably would’ve kept going like this. People only started labeling it his “prime” because he started winning trophies with FNC but individually he’s always been that good. yay's prime on the other hand was defined mostly by his individual performances, big difference imo

posted 2 months ago

he was supposed to drop tomorrow 2 years ago

posted 2 months ago

him never bottom fragging is more to highlight his consistency, yay's prime was mostly because of chamber, he fell off as soon he got nerfed, and his current level is an even greater reason on why he cannot possibly be above Leo, which is why I disagree with ranking players based on their "prime" as being good on one agent in a specific meta doesn't make you a goat player imo, Chronicle is a great example of a player who's been on top no matter the meta, Leo has been insane since Guild, and we clearly saw the impact he had on FNC when he left, these are players who are just objectively good, they can adapt and don't have to rely on the right time and the right meta to pop off for a tournament or 2 and then fall off. Meteor was not even the best player on Gen G and is not doing the greatest on T1 atm, can't compare them imo

posted 2 months ago

You can't compare Leo with yay or meteor, Leo almost never bottom frags, one of the most if not the most consistent player out there, insane gamesense, util usage, understanding of the game, he almost never makes mistakes, you can't even say the latter about 99% of players let alone yay/meteor, he literally is the perfect player (at least for his role)
