Korea literally had one decent team which was vision strikers/DRX before they switched to Val, which is why VS was so dominant back in the day. Most big esports in Asia are F2P, which CS wasn’t for a long time, because many people go to gaming cafe type places to play video games. For example, one reason LoL is so big in KR is because it’s free and therefore on every single gaming cafe PC. If they wanted to put CS on those pcs, either everyone that used that PC ever would have to share an account, or the person using it would have to already own a steam account with CS owned. Besides even if their CS scene is bigger than the rest of asia, there is 0 chance it’s Val scene is asias biggest considering Japan and APAC exist
