2021: Termi poaches the best KR player at the time, Lakia, from NU mid circuit and forces a 6-man roster (he only played 2 international maps)

2022: no Termi shenanigans = DRX’s best year

2023: signs Foxy9, a prodigy at the time, and lets him play regular season games only to sub him out for Zest as soon as they lose a playoff game. Similarly, he subs Foxy9 out in Tokyo as soon as they drop to lowers, showing zero confidence in him for a 2nd time. By Champions, Foxy9 is no where to be found

2024: Flashback and Beyn are picked up and constantly switched around as 6th men before both being permanently added. Foxy9 is added again and the team shows promise by Champions once players are no longer being swapped out. However, Termi’s contract says he can’t keep a player longer than one split and drops both Beyn and Foxy9

2025: Athan, Free1ng, and Hyunmin are all signed. Termi gets bored of Athan before VCT even starts and drops him, bringing back Beyn. They look solid but unfortunately lose in Bangkok. Estrella is then subbed in for Beyn making a 6-man roster yet again and eventually steps in for Flashback permanently. Flicker is added making a 7-MAN ROSTER and is subbed in for Estrella who was just added. Now, starting this stage, Flashback and Estrella are back while Flicker and Beyn are no where to be found

TLDR: Termi and DRX’s management team is a talent vacuum that hordes players even if they do not fit the team. Unlike GenG who looks to develop talent and transforms them into T1 players like Karon, Ash, and Foxy9, Termi has zero faith in any new player and will impatiently drop them for a bad game. DRX will never win a trophy under this roster terrorist

EMEA is smaller area wise than NA and SA and they aren’t as regional split by things like language barriers since most of Europe can speak English. most European teams are also a blend of a bunch of nations so it would be hard to split West/East

posted 1 week ago

split up the regions into NA, SA, SEA, East Asia, China, EMEA
12 team events with 6 franchised and 6 qualified through T2 events. bottom 2 qualified teams have a chance to get relegated at the end of each split.
now T2 events are actually worth watching since they have a chance to impact T1 events before the literal next year of play

at the current pace, regions like Brazil and Japan will be dead before we get changes

posted 1 week ago

nah I think we should just import n4rrate again

posted 1 week ago

needs to be studied. in just a couple years we’ve went from the region with the most depth to watching 2 teams that would lose 13-5 to GE today. what’s going on? do we need more imports?

posted 1 week ago

but what if my love language is hating on shitmea

13-3, 13-4, 13-6 + carried by the sub btw

lowkey might be TS right now
some of the comments are actually killing me lmao. never seen a fanbase simultaneously have so much and also so little hope in a team since old TSM’s days

13 - 13, not higher

Flor got a lot more support than people realize despite her team being bad. Molsi gave her a lot of perfect flashes and Governor entried often. Her stats are inflated and not a single game she played did she have a higher FK/FD stat than her duelist counterpart believe it or not

Say I host a 2.0 M $ tourney and invite 2G, Shopify Gold, DFM, and Apeks, does that make it the better event?

posted 1 week ago

more teams doesn’t mean more competitive. Masters 1 had a better format than EWC and the winner had to beat every #1 seed so it was definitely earned

S: Champions
A: Masters, LOCK/IN
B: Regionals
C: Redbull Homeground, EWC, SOOP, SEN City, Tarik X Ludwig

not hard to understand

someone needs to call him cause you can deadass see the exact round Fnatic decided to throw

posted 1 week ago

NRG owns TH already proven

posted 1 week ago

your best buddies Fnatic match fixed in a Mickey Mouse cup and now idiots here think you’ve won a major.

0-4 at the event that actually gives you points btw

posted 1 week ago

pretty obvious starts with an N and ends with a G

posted 1 week ago

still not a vct trophy so who cares

posted 1 week ago

if you think the Wolves and Paper Rex that Heretics lost to are the same that placed 1st and 3rd you don’t know ball. Those teams improved throughout the event. Heretics still looked awful in Toronto

posted 1 week ago

I highly doubt teams innovated as much as they would for a masters though given that they are on an old patch and are about to start Stage 2, which they likely care more for. They’re motivated to win but this event is still just a training ground like any other off season event, this one just happens to have a bigger prize pool

“no one is saying ts” look at all the eu frogs in this thread

posted 1 week ago

EWC does matter but it’s not on the same caliber as a masters

I think it mostly comes down to EWC feeling like one big consolation event after Toronto, even playing on the old patch. Like obviously if you are a coach you want your team to try to win this event but I also don’t think they’re beating themselves up too hard for losing either since Stage 2 is the bigger priority.

the prize pool is nice and we need more T1 events but if you think this event = masters you are probably European lol

GENG > TH
Played a close game against T1 meanwhile the other got dismantled by Liquid stage 1
5-6th at Masters versus getting embarrassed so bad people call for half your team to get retired

TH have had a lackluster year, EWC recency bias can’t fix that
