mistic used to be a hard util player who played initiators and besides that one blind in Reykjavik he has higher APR than jamppi and generally better stats, even if by a smaller margin in other categories. jamppi is a better clutcher sure, but I think mistic has better util and is a better teammate/team player along with bringing the vibes jamppi already does.

posted about a year ago

you're relating a clutch that just happened to your previous argument that jamppi is better

posted about a year ago

blinded by 1 clutch

posted about a year ago

more flexible but generally worse per agent rather than mistic who is not as flexible but better on the agents he plays
it might just depend on what the team needs, but honestly they should both be out

posted about a year ago

jamppi is a vibes merchant as well but I'd still like mistic on the team over jamppi

posted about a year ago

agreed, I think mistic is actually a good vibes merchant to have on a team and I'd rather have him on the team than jamppi if they want to keep a core 3

posted about a year ago

you should be focusing on what is the best for YOU considering that alligator situation!
stay safe!

posted about a year ago

I think mistic is good to have on a team and keiko still has good potential, but if they can get a good replacement for enzo and jamppi they will be in a much better spot

posted about a year ago

then what's the point of having enzo or jamppi honestly

I haven't read through the fine details of the law, which is my bad. I assumed it was a foreign-positive law as that's what it has been portrayed as from what I've seen, but if you know more about it and read through then I trust you that it isn't a foreign-positive law! Thank you for correcting me and telling me more.

Yes, hence the rise of anti-tourist sentiment. A lot of people go to Japan because it got spread online as this incredible vacation spot that is beautiful and fun and has great food but they don't really research the culture at all and come off as rude or are just actually rude and disrespectful. The issue with this is that tourists become foreign workers which they desperately need but also drive the economy which they also desperately need. Necessary, but unwanted.

They don't just want tourists, they want tourists to decide to move and live and work in Japan ^^ sorry I wasn't super clear.
You are totally right anti-tourist sentiment has been rising, but at the same time people who are tourists who come to Japan are more likely to work as a foreign worker there. It's a weird situation. I meant to mean that they want tourists to come and then decide to work, not just "be tourists".

posted about a year ago

it's definitely the stereotype but generally it's the older generations (which is most of Japan now, unfortunately) who hold this mindset to my knowledge. It's getting better with newer generations and even the older ones are realizing the position they are in hence why they're trying really hard to get foreign workers and tourists to decide to move and stay in Japan.

kangkang, smoggy and imho chichoo are a fantastic core, but I feel like nobody and haodong + after as coach have bet a letdown internationally
I'm hoping they make the right moves to remedy this, I personally think S1Mon is a good start.

looks like a very strong player, good pickup

me when I base my superteams off stats and not how players get along or their values/egoes and how supportive they are inside and outside of a server and if they play well together ^_^ (I've seen this too often)

league has had changes so large that we can't even compare it to valorant, like if we had one of those big agent changes where 5 of them get changed but instead of 5 it's literally every single one and some abilities change completely. and that has happened multiple times over those 10 years. on top of all of that, faker has still been the GOAT throughout. that's saying something considering how many players fell off after chamber/jett nerfs only.

swvyboi makes a based post

they could've had, no joke
tenz - controller

I think G2 is a decent team in NA and I'm a fan of them, but yeah them getting top3 was definitely fluke-y I was honestly shocked watching that run

posted about a year ago

he supposedly nukes in scrims, I think it's all mental. he just needs to overcome it, players have in the past so maybe he can too. we'll just have to wait and see

posted about a year ago

players doing content is going to become more normalized over time because orgs 95%+ of the time are NOT making profit off them otherwise (and still won't even with good content from the players)

posted about a year ago

would be a harder target to hit if... you know.. they were blind... and couldn't see him...

posted about a year ago

he doesn't suck but he's not great right now.
too inconsistent, I think nerves get to him way too much, he's getting better but definitely bad decision making sometimes.
his raw aim and potential is REALLY high, just needs to find consistency and his team needs to set him up more

posted about a year ago

they aren't throwing any util for him at least half the time
their setups suck

I mostly think the issue I have is that he had paid courses and stuff advertising it saying he was Radiant, which is false advertising and if he was a legitimate company would be illegal. If he only did free stuff and for the community, I wouldn't really care as much.

no, if there was a CS goat it'd be s1mple
but faker is way more well known and has achieved way more
apex goat would be imperialhal
RL squishymuffins (imho, I'm not super informed)

honestly yeah.

I don't know if there are enough slots in VCT CN for that to happen, but it's a possibility. I think no matter what some regions will become an empty shell due to this merger, which sucks. I'm not a fan of it, but I get why it happened. Just explaining why certain things went the way they did with HK/TW

posted about a year ago

Yeah, China has a ton of big orgs and they want to 100% make sure that they have their own league and funding and platform so they can keep them there and generate revenue. They're capitalizing more on this by creating a Twitch and Youtube livestream as well to increase funding (through ads) in other countries rather than just letting the streams be on BiliBili, Douyu, Huya and QQ which most Westerners (EMEA+Americas) don't want to use or don't know exist

posted about a year ago

HK/TW players can choose to play in CN or Pacific, but people are asking HK/TW to be part of the Chinese league which would mean enforcing a use of the Chinese client on to all HK/TW pro players (or potentially all players overall) which won't go well with some of them. It's not about individuals choosing CN or Pacific, but enforcing an all or nothing which is what they have to do.

posted about a year ago

my grandfather and besides that maybe keanu reeves
for esports I'd say f0rest

posted about a year ago

yeah a lot of people are overlooking that it's a completely different client so they pretty much can't merge the league at all

posted about a year ago

China has to be their own league since they are on their own client controlled by Tencent in line with NPPA (China's National Press and Publication Administration) standards. This means they would either have to convince China to let Chinese players use the normal client (never happening) or force all SEA players to use the Chinese Client (also never happening). They also can't force HK/TW to use the client as they are TECHNICALLY still not under governmental rule of China and therefore the NPPA's decision to make their own client for Chinese players does not apply to them, hence why they have their own league since they had access to Valorant earlier and they never used the Chinese client. This is also the reason why the matches played in Shanghai and also any CN league matches do not have VLR ratings as it is a different client.

posted about a year ago

China has to be their own league since they are still on their own client controlled by Tencent in line with NPPA standards and they will not force SEA to use it. It's why games in CN league and Shanghai didn't have ratings.

what everyone should be doing
if you start at 18 and get a job, max out your investment into it with 5k down, you'll have 2m+ most likely by retirement

posted about a year ago

it's only the signature ability, for example they get one sage heal or phoenix molly and you don't know whose ability it is most of the time
I think it's pretty balanced at 30 especially since you have to be kind of close. I can see making it 20 though, it'd have to be playtested quite a bit
2 uses per round is pretty normal for some signature abilities as well

posted about a year ago

coaching/gm issue to an extent, I respect them for taking a risk and trying upcoming players for sure, it just seems they didn't account for roles and stuff outside of the server. I think br0die was a fantastic piece to have on a team because from what I could see he was very crucial to keeping vibes up and being supportive and a good teammate even if he didn't frag.

posted about a year ago

I think this would be cool:
Thief
Signature Ability: Steal
Throw a radianite wave (similar to ISO ult) through an area and the first agent it hits you take their signature ability and have 1 use of it but you have to use it within 30 seconds
2 kills to recharge (after you use the ability)

man I'm not gonna lie I looked into it and his last stream is from 8 days ago playing WoW and then last tweet from September 2023 with a CS2 screenshot
this looks rough. he got 1st player to hit 30k elo in CS2 and seems to have just been grinding that recently.

dust2, fuck me. they added the map with most important fight timings purely based off random spawns back.
one of the biggest things I love about val tbh

posted about a year ago

yeah the old user was a lot better. either way he was solid in CS and should help!

posted about a year ago

a lot of people including alecks moved from CS to Val, just that we don't know the extent of how long bulb (bobosaur) has been following. seems very nepo, but help is help :/

posted about a year ago

this is not being talked about!!!!
June 22nd PRX added bulb (former CS player for PRX and BOOT Dreamscape) as a assistant coach.
is this what PRX needs to go to the next level? I know a lot of people were begging PRX to add one.

he's fine this has to be bait
they've been playing fine as a team too and improving over time, just one hiccup

posted about a year ago

I think chiwa is a bit worse than monster but iirc monster wanted to focus on IRL so that wasn't the biggest issue
the issue is that they dropped baddyG and br0die for 2 upcoming talents who are both duelists and put the worse one on duelist and the better one on off roles. on top of them having vuubit who they could've just promoted to a main player for free

posted about a year ago

that goes hard wtf
