Samurai Champloo opening goes hard, both in musically and visually.

Not really tbh, it's only a few individuals who push that narrative.

Nt NTH.

They did their best and made Japan proud regardless.

Bias?

There’s like 10 different threads about how bad Japan is.

Kei is gonna be a great character, just you wait.

Very excited for this season.

Great on JoXJo for carrying such a responsibility and glad to see that mixed communication still works.

I remember people were super iffy about how CR commed in both languages and that’s why they looked very lacklustre.

Really gave NTH and FPX a run for their money.

LETS FUCKING GOOOO

NEVER DOUBT JAPAN. THEY ALWAYS PULL THROUGH AT THE MOST IMPORTANT TIME.

Who's everyone?

Name them

posted about 3 years ago

That's what almost every thread is like.

Game is not even over, and mfers are already back on the Japan hate train. It's NTH's first international tournament, both franchise-wise and roster-wise. They are here today because they deserve to be hereYes the ZETA run was amazing, but it was not a fluke. It was the potential that ZETA and Japan can get to.

Game's not over. Stop typing and keep watching.

Buddy I'm an FPX fan but if FPX can't counter this, then XIA deserves to win.

A team can play how they wants. What matters is how the other team overcomes it.

posted about 3 years ago

Not Japanese but as a Japan fan, I still have hope that they'll pull a ZETA (or better)

I would've preferred if ZETA went though.

LETS FUCKING GO GUILD

IM SORRY FOR DOUBTING YOU.

THIS TEAM IS REALLLL GOOD AND IVE BELIEVED IN THEM FOR THE LONGEST TIME

posted about 3 years ago

Not fluke.

“FNC with full roster would’ve beaten ZETA,” no shit. But the most annoying thing is that people still thought that FNC with 2 SUBS would’ve beaten ZETA, but they didn’t.

Then ZETA turned up and antistratted everyone. It shows that ZETA themselves were serious about it —to reach third place, and it inspired Japan to be better than ZETA. That’s why NTH is here today instead of ZETA.

It’s the first game and people are back on the “Japan is shit” train. There’s still many games, and NTH has to yet do a lower bracket run.

Also, we must stop the narrative that “underdog/unexpected team making a deep run = fluke run.” It’s actually ridiculous. That team was better on that day, that’s all there is to it.

posted about 3 years ago

Oh well that’s unfortunate but i knew that DRX was going to win.

All good, lower bracket run incoming.

Remember that ZETA got smacked 26-5 in their first game and look where they ended up. Same could probably happen to NTH.

If only the format didn’t fuck over TNL during Berlin quals :(

We could’ve gotten TNL instead of F4Q.

People called meL a Chamber one-trick, but when she doesn’t play Chamber, people say C9’s throwing.

No one can ever be happy with the GC scene.

As a Guild and NTH fan, Guild is hella low. They are one of the most underrated teams in the tournament, and they deserve respect.

I'd put Guild higher and Leviatan lower.

You all doubt 1ndra.

Dude is cracked statistically. If FNC found him worthy to pickup, then he must be something special.

People forgot that Jady used to play duelists like Jett.

Maybe he'll go back to his native role.

I’m not gay, —nor will be, but I respect other people’s beliefs because it’s what they believe; i have no right or say in changing their beliefs. If they want to be gay or be a part of the LGBTQIA+, that’s completely fine by me, because humans of different beliefs are supposed to coexist.

Was it low-competitive because FNC got grouped?

Because everyone was tipping FNC to beat ZETA even with 2 subs.

Nah, it's intentional.

"Best" is another word for "defeat"

It’s just the second place teams of BR and LATAM.

Winner goes to Copenhagen, and the region of the winning team will get a bye to playoffs.

So say if NIP win, LOUD are automatically in playoffs and NIP has to play in group stage.

for sure

Japan is still going to bring the viewership, even with ZETA not being on the stage.

Because Japanese fans supports whoever represents their region.

Northeption has a COMPLETELY new roster, and tbh, I don't have a lot of expectations for them. Sure Mete0r was an absolute demon on Jett for TNL, and JoXJo is a really flexible player and was good on GoNGo Prince, but their Japanese pickups leave a lot of question marks. [...] So many questions around NTH, but if their JP players can perform, then they can be a fair shot to be decent in the JP scene, but it will be a far cry from how they were in 2021 APAC LCQ. - me four months ago before VCT Stage 1 started.

As an avid japan believer, as much as I wanted ZETA to qualify and do another Cinderella run, NTH looked insane. I feel like they'll be an excellent representation for JP. The strats they had and the plays they did were fun to watch.

Their anti-stratting against ZETA was nothing short of world-class, and ZETA themselves are world-class at anti-stratting.

I can't wait to see the same energy from NTH in Copenhagen.

sorry to burst your bubble, but NIP and KRU (more so KRU) look awful compared to NTH.

Man the Guild disrespect is unreal. They did what they needed to do: win and qualify for Copenhagen. They did something that M3C or Liquid couldn’t do. They might’ve done the bare minimum but they still did it. Also FPX was the better team today, there’s no doubt about that.
