Putting mwzera and heat on the same team must be a violation of the Geneva conventions; their play is beautiful.

I want to preface this by informing you that I've put together all my chromosomes for this prediction. You can be assured that this post will be credible, thanks to my 40 chromosomes (I dropped the other 7 on my morning run) .

Scream is amazing. Nivera, just as amazing. Jammpi is pretty good, too, when he has an operator. Link is insane in the clutch, but boring otherwise. Soulcas can flash. Their coach Sliggy is very smart, acting as the backbone of the team. With unique and innovative compositions, clever executes and trap plays, and a colossal quantity of individual skill it's clear to me that Liquid are a fantastic team.

Sentinels, well, they lost a map to Furia. Then, almost lost the series but clawed their way through thanks to a timely tech pause. I can't say they particularly inspire confidence. But. There's one thing I can't help but feel. It's primal, coming from deep within my being.

I HECKIN' LOVE TENZ. BATCHEST

fr fr. you just typed straight fax. Straighter than a banana observing feminine feline males.

It's still true! Even after reading it twice. Even after typing this sentence.

Well, actually. Actually... that's just really really true! Genuinely the most truthful statement I've read in my life

The wisdom, knowledge and sheer cerebral energy put into this statement baffles me. "JettOnetap", you've outdone yourself. Truly, this is a brilliant post.

Absolutely excellent. Incredible. A feat for the ages.

Only games that have had higher peak viewers are:
Sen vs Fnatic @ Reykjavik (1.08 million)
Sen vs G2, both group stages @ Masters Berlin (800k)

For the group stage, these are very solid numbers. I wonder how the KRU match did, with Aguero's watch party. Unfortunately, those statistics do not seem to be visible on the website.

Furia almost beat Sen.
Sen beat Fnatic
Fnatic beat Liquid
Liquid beat Acend

Using elementary logic, one can easily conclude that VK (Keyd Stars) will win against Acend

VLR.gg, when will you learn? Sentinels are undeniably the smartest players to ever play Valorant. Sentinels have been sitting on their strats since before Berlin, before Reykjavik, before the VCT, before the TSM grand final. They've been saving strats for a generation now. The day Douglas "Dapr" Apr was conceived, the CEO of Sentinels, Bugha, whispered to him through his mothers womb, "Listen closely. What I'm telling you should only be used in the Grand Finals of Valorant Champions 2030. Burn everything I say from this moment into your memory. The strat is...
...
...
Tenz go kil "

From the day they came out their respective wombs, the Sentinels have been saving strats.

I'm not a member of Team Liquid, but I can confidently say that I, as a platinum player, would also obliterate Sen.

That is, I would obliterate Sen Rawkus's thicc ass. And, Team Liquid would be weird not to, too.

The SEA challengers format is unique in how it separates each nation (excepting MY/SG) into its own qualification tournament. Oddly, the RIOT import ruling still applies - teams must have at least three players from the nation whose qualifier they are competing in. This is probably due to broadcast languages.

Do you think this makes a big difference? Would SEA teams perform better given the chance to use players from many different (SEA) nations? Personally, I think this should be changed going into 2022. There's a lot of talent in SEA (Jingg, PTC, and more) that may be able to make a big impact on the same team.

It's hard for organizations to justify paying a group of 5 players under the assumption that they will eventually do better when they could instead sign 2 top-tier players from Korea, and have a chance to compete at international events. Still, I'm sure an all-Japanese team will eventually make it big - competing against stronger teams improves the whole region. The benefit of speaking the same language is immense.

Possibly going to new korean orgs? I doubt it, but there was that one tweet a while ago about a lot of new Korean organizations coming into Valorant.

True. I'm assuming big Turkish numbers for Cned, and viewers from Masters 3 to watch Yay.

1,000,000+ peak viewers in the first year of esports is definitely incredible. However, having a lower peak viewer count at the most important tournament of the year than a previous event is a bad sign. I'm near certain that the peak viewership numbers should be greater than Masters 3, since all the teams at the tournament now have fanbases (unlike Gambit and NV). But, viewership numbers are very unpredictable so who knows.

The least viewed games in group stages (might) be
VS vs Full Sense (Korea viewership is really dog, but Thai viewership was strong in LCQ)
Secret vs Vikings (Brazil viewership is on a downward trend from what I've seen, and losing the first game will reduce it further. not sure about Secret)

Possible high viewer group stage matches:
Acend vs Envy
Liquid vs Sentinels
Almost all Group D matches

Interestingly, Sentinels and Liquid are in the same group. A close 5 game grand final with both those teams would be the (IMO) only possible way for 2,000,000+ viewers.

Reykjavík: 1,000,000+ peak, 500,000 average.
Berlin: 800,000+ peak, 400,000 average.

Will Champions 2021 break Reykjavik stats? Will it be comparable to Berlin? Will it break 2 million viewers, like Counter Strike's most recent major?

I think it's going to peak at 1.5 million, as promotional material has more views than both Reykjavík and Berlin. What about you?

If you look at the records they have beaten every SEA team they were matched against except Bren and X10.

They played against X10, Bren, and Division Gaming (lost in 2nd round of viet challengers LOL)

Lost to X10 2-0 (13-3, 13-10)
Lost to Bren 2-0 (13-2, 13-3)
