yeah. relocated to China a few months ago
maybe things will finally go well this split. Just as things were looking good Fire3 got health problems and left after only a single week, then performances fell off a cliff, Hanche didn't provide value, and their stage was over before they could even get the ball rolling. i can only hope Paris will prove to be a milestone for good fortune with all the unfortunate shit that's been transpiring. Fire3 was visibly a good coach who did create a difference in the singular month he was with them in. If the management trust Paris like they did him then I can only assume that this decision was made with good reasoning behind it
ig he was frying in the academy. took less than half a year for him to get promoted
This is probably the best move they could've made with the current chinese coaches lft at the moment. When Fire3 was with them they looked structured enough to have close maps with a weakened Trace. Without him they couldn't even get above 8 rounds. Paris could be what they need to bring out the player skill enough for them to turn their season around.
Paris was one of BLG's coaches during their 2023 run, and left the position after the team imploded during the offseason from the player changes. He is by no means a meme pick. especially considering how Fire3 was only with them for a week in the regular season and they looked visibly worse afterwards. he might bring the structure they need to actually pull themselves together
trying to bait a wolves fan is like trying to get a horse to drink lava. it ain't happening
they got paris. he was one of BLG's coaches during their champs 2023 run, so hopefully he can bring some much needed structure. could be what they need
yeah it's insane how he's developed. his favorite player is Karon + if I had to guess Bail encourages his more methodical style of play. if things continue to go well I truly could see him becoming the Chinese Mako and showing up as one of the greats on the role
competition too tough + team performance have impacted his stats too much for me to seriously put him up there without massive bias
thought about it but immediately dropped it considering how stacked the rising stars have been this year. with a rebuild I can see him getting the opportunity to showcase the full extent of his skills. hopefully AG keep him on the core & don't sell him
he's provided us with some absolutely monstrous clutches & underrated moments in how he plays init. i was considering putting him here but thought that even though XLG are literally all comprised of rookies outside of viva who all deserve massive praise it'd make more sense to put Juicy there due to how he's slotted into wolves over the season
he's in a relatively similar ballpark to Rushia and Juicy during his highs but his lows are looooow and both of the mentioned players provide a lot more visible value in what they do. Spiritz is very limited by DRG's lack of depth
Slowly
Rarga
Happywei
Rushia
Juicy
slowly rarga and happywei don't need explanation. Rushia's a criminally intelligent smokes player and has developed to be among the best in the region in that role. Juicy's individual form has been integral in Wolves' success
the only reason why you would use deadlock is if you're playing double senti-of which only vyse deadlock is even remotely viable. vyse and cypher both wildly outclass her in info, anchoring, and individual value. only thing deadlock has going for her over them massively is the net but even then vyse vines work just as well in a majority of scenarios at the moment
y0y spammers when they see REAL engagement bait (they fall for it)
also Destroyer DESTROYED their map vetoes and clearly didn't use their extra time at all because of the holiday compared to EDG who visibly did work on their off-time. with how vocal hvoya's been about the effort they put into practicing i don't doubt that they'd use all of the 6 weeks to the fullest
so... you're saying teams don't scrim their academy to know what works and what doesn't? EG's 10-man roster was literally cultivated for the express purpose of drilling strategies, knowing timings, etc. from that alone they'd get a lot more practical value than scrimming against other tier 1 teams who are only going to go for their own specific gameplans. that's not even mentioning that they'd probably flat out get less practice time against other teams compared to their academy
coconut's done some insane clutches throughout the season also
"can't rely on academy player" Jieni was propelled into the main roster because of his agent pool flexibility and thrown to the wolves with extremely high expectations as a pure rookie. You could visibly see him nervous af in map 3 and his gameplay dip tremendously because of that. he wasn't even doing terribly until pearl. the problem is that S1mon was forced out due to his own miscommunication and the entire team structure up until that point was completely upheaved. they are victims of circumstance
just because an org is rich doesn't mean they'll be able to buy an active player from an active team during an active season. Tyloo's gradually been improving and getting their bearings. Why the fuck would they just up and sell their player who's at the top in almost every stat domestically with zero guarantee that you'll get compensation? Also EDG's problems aren't just Jieni, it's literally everything surrounding his inclusion and S1mon's departure
issue is that these teams actually want to do something and not give up their best players
EDG getting eliminated was like the hunger games death cannon. they all gotta lock in
if things progress this way for another few years it very well might be. EDG vs BLG was pure cinema and now THIS???? holy fuck i love this season so much
where the top 3 at toronto don't qualify. wtf is this season dawg this is CINEMA
eg getting smg diffed using the more expensive yet worse gun
couldn't watch the games live but i DON'T CARE. all i care about is that they're finally at an international where they can learn
wouldn't really call some of the stuff they do "minor" but it really does add a lot of character. only adds to the aura farming all of them try to do
probably a production thing for cn orgs in general. even the tier 2 orgs put effort into making sure the headshots look impeccable
YYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
makes me disappointed to see people trying to intentionally spread hate here
#FUNFLAIRFANS
only one person does apparently and it's me
on another note i don't see a #FunFlairFans from you 😢
It has come to my attention that there is a user with the AG team flair named "Nagomi" who is creating a negative image of the AG fanbase!
I have brought it upon myself to announce to everyone that this person is a FRAUD and an alt and in now way represents the average AG flair users!
Hope we can all spread positivity and what it means to truly support these teams! 🙏🏻
Can we get a #FunFlairFans in the comments 😊
still not how the situation works but okay
still doesn't make sense because that's not how the situation works
well Berlin did refuse to rep mainland china in favor of Taiwan but waaaay before that when his pr was significantly better a lot of ppl still hated him for how he played. people hated Life for the same reason. too much trolling for cn fans' tastes
their loss against Sentinels was 9/11 for any avid Berlin fans. so many people demanding that he should've gotten fired with NathanD 🤣
Berlin for China 100%. the amount of shit he gets after FPX did ANYTHING bad was insane. the 2024 run was crazy to see
try telling that to the management after they bomb out after role swapping. just saying if it happens then don't be surprised if at least muggle's gone or they put another guy at helm. i don't think it will but it's not fun looking at their current predicament and thinking of the worst case scenario
I like muggle and century but if they pull a shanghai they're going to get the After treatment
hyperbole bro? obviously I don't think NA is shit that'd be flat out delusional
they both do different things. Zikz was the one who did more the nitty gritty stuff and Potter was mainly the talent developer & leader from what I recall. both had their merits & made EG the well oiled machine it was but it was largely situational & both of them are in no way the same environment
both maps after haven. 100T would play iffy, get saved by either G2 throwing or Cryo & Eeiu having a life round, and then all of that would happen just for G2 to win another round in the most high% way possible. not saying it was completely shit but it was full of shenanigans that makes me wonder if we're watching the death of NA in real time
I'm be completely real when I say that that game gave me heavy flashbacks to watching low tier China games. Only difference was that there were less throws during anti-eco's and 5v3 losses (emphasis on the less)
