Yeah their players were really crispy and especially their Pearl was really nice. Will see can they continue performing so well on that map considering that the comp may get figured out.

Maybe couple in Ascensions, but tbh I think its too early to tell. bob dominated NA GC and has been playing really good here as well, but to what I remember she was pretty mediocre on Soniqs. They were Ascension level team for sure so don't get me wrong, but we will see if any end up in Ascensions.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah I think individually x10 look better and less shaky but again its really hard to say because both games were so dominant.

posted about 2 years ago

Hard to tell because so far both games have looked so one sided. Like KRU gave the site free for C9 with no duelist comp so many rounds on Ascent.

50K on main stream is pretty good tho? Better than what I expected. Also first games and no finals yet either (not sure how the format works).

Linears aka Reds if talking about basic 3. Ofc there's better ones and would really want to try Yellows.

True. In my opinion, no hate, the "talent" or whatever you call casters, hosts etc is really really mid in Valorant. IMO there isn't single top top talent in any category. Like even esport like Overwatch has better caster talent (esp Uber&MrX) they have better host/desk talent IMO. Pretty much all other major esport titles clear Valorant when it comes to talent. Valorant has some good pieces, don't get me wrong but just look at like CSGO they arguably have 4 or 5 caster duos that are better or min equal to Valorant's best. And then you have duos like Machine and Spunj that are so much better than top of Valorant.

KRU just lets them into sites with no defense

posted about 2 years ago

They should also take notes from Blast or even ESL and do cool content during breaks. Current Valorant system is so boring.

posted about 2 years ago

Good change tbh, but C ability is just kind of shitty to use because you can't rotate the wall IMO. You have to be in perfect position to use it effectively and if you don't you can accidentally bait yourself or teammates with it. But having 2 charges allows you to make quick plays with it like at start of round etc while still having 1 extra for actual site exec or something.

Underrated. I have a lot of faith in this team. I think they could do really well. They just have really low clout so some people put no respect on the players. Tbh I was also big believer of OGLU and I believe that they could have been really good with extra firepower. I really liked their style and then Salah & Strong came in and added a lot of depth. Having 2 players and 2 coaches from OGLU gives me a lot of hope. I'm also Twisten and ceNder believer and I think guy like ceNder will do fine in tier 1 and he is ready. Molsi & Twisten duo could really surprise a lot of people who don't follow EMEA closely. They could be shit as well, but I think they have potential and its going to be interesting team to follow.

At least he signed with Liquid. They seem to be good org that actually cares about their players.

Yeah most likely. Sheydos and starxo have been playing a lot together.

No starxo for KOI?

no, OWL only did because they thought they would become mainstream

True, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Champions was the biggest Valorant event yet and 2nd Valorant official event ever with actual crowd (Copenhagen was pretty small crowd wise, so in a way it was supposed to be the first proper one). They even flew bunch of content creators there. While crowded events aren't new in CSGO and finals was played by 2 not that popular teams. So it is good for Valorant but there are factors that might have increased the viewership for Champions 2022 while there was factors that decreased the viewership for Rio Major.

love both games and the esport scene

posted about 2 years ago

Not really. Valorant masters are pretty comparable to CSGO Majors considering that there was only 2 of them + Champions in a year while CSGO has 2 Majors in a year. Champions is more special with skin release etc, but Valorant Master isn't like ESL Pro League or something. Way closer to Major than to 3rd party tournament. At least in my opinion. Like no one talks about "ESL Pro League Champions", but you hear people talking about Masters Champions and even MSI Champions in LoL that also has 2 aka "minor"(MSI) and "major"(Worlds) system.

Let's be real:
Stockholm 21 - NaVi vs G2
Antwerp 22 - NaVi vs FaZe
Rio 22 - Heroic vs Outsiders

Its almost like going from top EU vs top NA finals to XSET vs Xerxia finals in Valorant. Also this Major has been fairly boring if I'm honest. Many top teams and big names got eliminated before expected and there hasn't been many memorably moments so far. Also the crowd has been pretty meh outside of Furia games so its almost like watching online match lol. Really underwhelming major so far outside of Furia games ofc.

posted about 2 years ago

Crowd looks decently packed but sadly it sounds really quiet. At least on stream.

posted about 2 years ago

We went from NaVi (s1mple, Electronic, B1T, Boombl4, Perfecto) vs FaZe Clan (Karrigan, Twistzz, ropz, rain, broky) major final to Heroic vs Outsiders lol unlucky really but it is what it is

yeah I don't like them either, but when I bought it I didn't realize it had blue switches and for some reason I didn't send it back. Was forced to switch when old G Pro's had multiple broken keycaps because Romer-G switches are terrible for keycap breaking

I just mentioned it "coach bug scandal"

posted about 2 years ago

Derke, Jamppi, Hoody, Bonecold and Iluri(or Famsii, H1ber.... depending what is needed don't know how flexible).

Aiming for top 3 ofc, def big underdog with Sweden and Lithuania IMO

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah tbh I don't even know why that is the case with Heroic. I guess they have always just been in Astralis' shadow and Heroic as org is pretty unknown. Also the players outside of cadiaN are pretty low clout. And then ofc you had the coach bug scandal that might have made some people dislike Heroic.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah finals being Heroic vs Outsiders is going to hurt viewership for sure. Like even when Heroic played in Denmark their home last year the crowd seemed to not care much about them compared to Astralis because they have always been the 2nd Danish team and even to this day have kind of low clout. And Outsiders is low clout team as well. Going to be pretty "boring" finals name wise, but Cadian vs Jame IGL Awpers is going to be good.

posted about 2 years ago

yeah because im only 1 vote againt and 4 want Breeze... im telling already we are going to lose if enemy decides to pick it. Last time we played our Brimstone comp we didn't win more than 5 rounds against randoms in unrated. Our IGL has no idea how to call and I don't know how to play. Its bad idea, but well what can I do....

posted about 2 years ago

Heroic choking so bad under pressure. You can just see how much they are panicking doing dumb plays. While Furia can just live in their comfort zone and play their aggro style. Not trying to take anything away from Furia, but I think Heroic are kind of shitting themselves right now.

posted about 2 years ago

sadly half empty when no br teams

posted about 2 years ago

False, but true about unbiased because they rarely have teams to support for in games like LoL and CSGO. EU crowds are best in my opinion, but they chose Denmark for some reason like even in CSGO its really biased and sleeper when Danish teams aren't playing. Like pick France, Germany, Poland, Spain or something.

Breeze is the worst map. Case closed.

Not for long time at least. CSGO is just different beast currently in places where its popular. It has always been popular in Brazil if I'm not wrong and they had their era, but its been pretty dry for quite long time and we are finally seeing new Brazil team rise to the top so its going to make people hype af I would imagine. Just so much passion and history that Valorant won't achieve for years.

happy for Brazil! Crowd going crazy

Who is more flexible? Sayf you mean? Sayf used to be flex/sentinel player before he moved into duelist role. He even played Raze during Guild. He is really flexible and more than ScreaM. ScreaM's rifling is better, but Sayf's oping is better. As individual fragger ScreaM is likely better, but Sayf def takes it for flexibility and Chamber skills in current meta.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah I'm not saying they will be better, but I think the roster looks slightly more well rounded for now on paper.
Like in my head Derke, Alfajer, Chronicle, Leo > Jamppi, Sayf, nAts, Soulcas, while IGLs are pretty equal for now and hard to predict tbh. especially in current meta.

posted about 2 years ago

Cloud is insane player, but don't underrated Soulcas. He has always been the player who gets the most shit while being the guy who flexes to whatever the team needs. Also individual speaking he is underrated. He can definitely carry his weight on this team with good skills, ability to flex and clearly good work ethics.

posted about 2 years ago

I think on paper Fnatic is still slightly better for now and maybe NaVi, not much though and could argue this is even better. But Liquid is still insane and even as weird as this might sound I truly think people have started to underrate players like nAts and even Jamppi a little. Soulcas and especially Sayf have always been somewhat underrated. This roster has the firepower, smartness/game sense, flexibility and experience.

Americas: I like NRG, but ofc want to see NA lose so likely SA teams
APAC: Maybe T1 because ex-OW pros but PRX is fun team as well
EMEA: every team, but especially Liquid and Vitality

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah really wish org like Vitality would have spent bit more on cool video or something. I think the idea is cool and could have been turned into cool video. Imagine like old school/retro style maybe even bit Starship Trooper style(if you know that movie) video of them preparing to enter the VCT/fly to space. Would have been cool af.

posted about 2 years ago

If I'm not wrong the rumor was that Destrian is vocal player so he likely adds a lot to comms and likely guys at Vitality rated that highly.
