Yeah EMEA format was like single elimination or something if I'm not wrong. Even Sentinel lost their first game in NA, but they weren't out because NA format was much better early 2021. If I remember it correctly, didn't follow as closely back then. And yeah FPX was definitely the favorites to make it to Reykjavik 2021, but played bad and did weird stuff IIRC. Fnatic was on classic honeymoon period with Derke and Magnum popping off, and Liquid finally found their form and were playing some different stuff compared to most other teams. Also individually their roster was one of the best at the time I think.

In 2022 M3C has 73%(8-3) winrate on Bind (+1 win as GMB if I'm not wrong making it 75% as well) and G2 has 75%(9-3) winrate agains similar level teams and last time they faced on Bind G2 won 13-10.

posted about 2 years ago

G2's Bind was really good tho. Likely best in EMEA.

posted about 2 years ago

G2 were one of the best IMO. Their Bind and Icebox were really good while rest of their maps were pretty bad.

Acend didn't overperform... They were top EMEA team for most of 2021. People just didn't follow EMEA and have no idea what they are talking about. Acend was just up there if not better at times than teams like Gambit, Liquid etc. Like its true that teams weren't banning Bind as much, but that wasn't the only reason why they did well. Especially during era where most teams didn't have as good map pools anyway.

Bit overrated, but Air Jordan 1 lows and highs are likely best AJs. Air Jordan 3s are decent as well.

Warm ofc. Cold one makes your muscles tired. I've done home workout and when it got cold it got way harder to do exercise because my muscles were more tired all the time and got tired faster due to it being cold. Also when its cold you just want to go to sleep not get sweaty working out. While when its warm your muscles can take more and when its already warm getting sweaty doesn't feel as annoying and bad.

True, but at least you have EU and even NA who can't compete but can still have some BO1 wins or at least have close games vs Korea/China and have some good games against each other. And then you have all these minor regions who can take BO1 games from EU and NA teams. And ofc there's competition between the minor teams. While Masters Valorant will just be like if Worlds was only LCK, LPL and LEC while all the other storylines and matchups would be completely wiped aka like if they just skipped play-ins and groups and instantly went to playoffs.

True. NA got overrated after Champions and everyone forgot that NA was pretty much 1 team region for most of 2022. And people have been overrating Pacific since the beginning. NA only did "well" because EMEA teams had shit map pools because they had no idea how to play Pearl at the time when it was still relatively new. And Pacific is only DRX pretty much and I think PRX will not be as good next year.

posted about 2 years ago

That kinda sucks. Even in LoL they have more regions than just 3 so international tournaments feel exciting.

Like imagine tournament with only these teams(example): NRG, 100T, LEV, FNC, TL, NAVI, GIA, DRX, PRX, ZETA
would be banger games but feels boring in my opinion. Quality of every game will be high, but its just like if they skipped groups and went to playoffs straight away.

maybe like 20 something stockholm

That could make sense. They are all flexible so it should be fine.

Yeah KOI has a lot of potential and is crazy to me how some people like George Geddes (lol) calls them meh. Koldamenta is one of the best IGLs in EMEA and even in world if you think about it. He led Acend, G2 and Guild to good success. Also polished multiple young players like cNed, keloqz(ehh) and Trexx, so I think its good place for Wolfen to evolve into tier 1 player. Sheydos and Trexx are just really good and flexible. I'm not highest on starxo, but I also think that people are underrating him quite a lot. Acend was a mess and he always had to slot into different roles kind of how soulcas did on Liquid.

I'm not just sure about Wolfen yet because I think he needs quite a lot of polishing still and the roles are bit uncertain because there's a lot of overlap. Sheydos will likely play initiators, Koldamenta smokes, but it is unknown will Wolfen stick to sentinels or potentially move to duelist role as heavy OP player. Trexx is known for flex/entry, but so is starxo. So we will have to see who will be their sentinel player and who will play agents like Jett if needed.

No way you rate Giants under KCorp... NaVi, FNC, TL could all be 1st and KOI, GIA, VIT could all be 4th or even higher. Also Heretics higher than FUT and BBL because even though they are kinda washed and inconsistent their peaks and likely average level is going to be higher than the Turkish teams I think (and likely KCorp but hard to say).

  1. NaVi (ability to anti-strat and change styles completely with really good roster)
  2. Fnatic (insane roster and has shown the ability to be top of EMEA)
  3. Liquid (really good roster, but might struggle due to Redgar IGLing in English for first time, also out of top 3 I think they will be more inconsistent)
  4. Giants (Rhyme's leading is still unknown, but their roster is really good and I liked what I saw from them in G-loot considering the time, might still have role issues)
  5. KOI (Koldamenta, Sheydos and Trexx core is really good and is even underrated by some, but its hard to say how Wolfen does in tier 1. Also not sure about the roles)
  6. Vitality (I think this team will be really good when they gel up even more, but I also think their peak might not be as high as others on top, but they could fight for higher spots)
  7. Heretics (just too inconsistent to reach higher and I don't think their ceiling will be that high)
  8. KCorp (they still have Scream and Nivera's peaks are really good, also get boost by communicating in French. But Newzera and Shin will pull this team down most likely)
  9. BBL (just not exciting. They look ok and then bad again. Same BBL as always not much changed)
  10. FUT (I think their recent showings talk for themselves.)

No clue about weeb stuff but maybe the white jacket is best because it looks the best and is simple and if "team walhalla" doesnt ring any bells then it could just be any brand and not even weeb related. Black jacket just looks kinda weird and too edgy to my taste also some who don't know what is says might think it has swastika in it unfortunately. And the hoodie is just something I would never wear personally, but maybe it fits your style. Could work as home clothing but wouldn't use outside.

As I said I have no idea about anime or what these jackets are but I like the white jacket the most even tho it might not be as versatile piece. Black jacket is the most versatile when it comes to outfits, but its bit weird and something I could have weared when I was younger.

Ohh that makes sense, but still boring af when we all know FNC, DRX and PRX are the top teams.

posted about 2 years ago

Maybe, but many have said that its just because of covid restrictions. But maybe they are just like that and its fine even though its bit boring as spectator.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah I feel the same, but his insane rifling and being able to do it while hard entrying def excuises some of it.

posted about 2 years ago

just wish no more covid restrictions so people could actually cheer instead of banging sticks

Did this tournament end already? I wanted to see Fnatic vs DRX or even PRX but best we got from them was vs Zeta lol

Derke has been bit trolling so far, but tbf same happened when Alfajer joined. He was popping off while Derke had kinda weak showing and then he activated later. Seems like same is happening right now with Chronicle and Leo addition. When everyone is on this team is crazy.

posted about 2 years ago

Derke (op, duelist)
Koldamenta (IGL, controller or even initiator if needed)
nAts (sentinel)
Leo (initiator, really flexible)
Molsi/Zyppan (flex, entry)

posted about 2 years ago

Yes but it sucks because this roster could have been good and there likely isn't many orgs who would be able to pull off this team and I don't even know is it possible in any VRL because CIS doesn't exist. Maybe EAST?

Explain? So Riot didn't allow this roster? Sad if true.

posted about 2 years ago

You are just basing this on name value. NA ascension is going to be good because ex "tier 1" players, but its still overrated. People rate them high because they used to play in VCTs but forget that for most part NA has been just 1 or 2 team region while rest were struggling. So you having players from teams like V1 or LG playing in tier 2 now doesn't mean they will be amazing tier 2 players.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah sad because Cloud is insane. Really good on his main role (initiator) but can also flex to entry raze or kayo or whatever you need from him. He is like Shao Jr. If he gets comfortable on Giants (looked bit uncomfortable in G loot) he will def be player people are going to talk about after this season.

True, but that is the case with most esports. Only that felt like Valorant off-season in terms of signings was really short.

Leo is one of the best initiators in the world no question. He has been best or 2nd best in EMEA for long time and did well in Copenhagen as well only choking last game.

If you say anything else you are underrating Leo like crazy. He is one of the best players in EMEA and top 2 if not the best initiator here. Ask any pro, coach, talent etc. Also EMEA as a whole has been the best region internationally and being the most competitive regionally so you can def rate EMEA players well based on regional success.

posted about 2 years ago

Guild placed 1st in their group and then got eliminated by both PRX and FPX aka the finalists. And they had Russ on their roster who had the lowerst ACS of any player in that tourney. Obviously Leo didn't carry because it was good performance from all Sayf, Trexx and Leo and Koldamenta wasn't doing bad for IGL. But Guild did well in Copenhagen and could have fought for higher places if they got the chance.

posted about 2 years ago

I'm not huge fan of the artstyle either, but it kinda suits the game and it should run decently on most PCs. Also I think the agents are really fun in this game. Every agent is really viable on most ranks and has their unique styles. Also if you play with other people you can do cool comps like go full defense with 3 defense champs and just hold a building or go full aggro mode with different comp. They add fun abilities and styles while not taking away from the gunplay.

Vitality and Giants

people are sleeping on these squads. Vitality makes sense because more unknown players, but people still put no respect on Molsi's or Twisten's name and even ceNder was/is really overlooked when talking about tier 2 talent.

and its crazy to me that people don't talk about Giants much at all while having players like nukkye, Cloud and hoody. That trio is really good and even proven on paper and add Fit1nho and Rhyme who have a lot of potential and this roster is really good on paper IMO. Cloud is one of the most slept on players in EMEA.
