Again I'm talking about Masters 1 Reykjavik 2022 only mentioning Masters 2 and Champions. Their map pools were shit and that lost them the tournament, that was bad from them. Even tho its impossible to know how other teams and region play on new maps and its all big gamble and depends on regional teams.

And FPX and Fnatic were 100% some of the best in the world what are you talking about? Watch their gameplay and the fact that they placed 1st and 3rd(looked like 2nd best before upper and lower-final) in EMEA. Also FNC literally played in Champions 21 so I don't know what you are talking about and FPX had never made a LAN, but again they went to Masters 2 as their first Valorant LAN and won it while playing groups with a stand-in. Nothing shows that they wouldn't have performed in M1.

Also G2 didn't diff Fnatic by any means. Fnatic looked like shit in their lower final game likely because they knew that Braveaf wouldn't be able to attend and they would have to play with a stand-in, it was braindead from them, they even got rolled by FPX likely because of same reason. While G2 peaked during that time when Meddo and Avova finally decided to play. You can see how massive difference those 2 especially made compared to groups etc. Mediocre/inconsistent players who step up in playoffs, almost happened in LCQ as well. Like I remember thinking how G2 will not perform as well even before the tournament because as I said they peaked in lowers and it was clear as day.

They weren't bad, but both FPX and Fnatic were likely top 5 teams(fighting for 1st) itw at the time based on their level, especially when back then PRX wasn't considered top level team. Masters 1 was pretty much just OpTic vs LOUD vs DRX vs TheGuard vs G2 from which TheGuard and G2 were expected to choke and underperform. FPX won Masters 2 and Masters 1 meta was arguably even stronger for them. FPX's and Fnatic's map pools were shit in Champs because of Pearl.

Has nothing to do with fluke Masters 1.

Hello India, India fighting!

That is true, but doesn't take away from the fact that EMEA were only represented by their 3rd and 4th best teams.

posted about 2 years ago

Not really. Imagine NA without OpTic. OpTic had no competition outside of LOUD and DRX. EMEA aka the region with most success until that point missed their 2 best teams (Fnatic were better than G2 before lower-final). It was also really optimal meta for both FPX and Fnatic, G2 didn't even have proper Jett player. Even Liquid the 4th seed EMEA made it to playoffs and finished same as The Guard.

Do FPX scrim when this guy is streaming all the time? Fun stream tho

posted about 2 years ago

Why would Derke full time Raze or Leo play Jett when Derke is one of the best Jetts out there? If they need Raze only then Derke will play that, if Jett and Raze then Derke Jett and Alfajer Raze, and most of the time only Jett so Derke. And Leo is goated initiator, unless they go with the idea of putting Chronicle to info initiators.

Maybe I'm cold, but why? Its tragic event and many lost their lives, but as long as none of the guys and their families/relatives got affected by it then why would it affect them or their performance? Of course you can still be sad and emotional over it even if it didn't hit you, but I just don't see it.

Not taking anything away from the tragedy*

its not serious... plus the roles are not off for most of them and at least they had proper comp. But I didn't mean it seriously.

Because they always look so good online. In EMEA Stage 1 they finished 3rd, but looked like the 2nd best and if the finals would have been Fnatic vs FPX it would have been 50/50 I think, but Fnatic really choked vs G2 likely because of news of Braveaf not being able to make it to Iceland. In EMEA Stage 2 they placed 1st and again looked like the best and even better than FPX who ended up winning Copenhagen. And heading into Champions that hype obviously stayed because again they always looked insane online and were still placing high on LANs. Being so consistently good in EMEA just shows that you are really strong team.

and when it comes to this new team I mean its just really stacked. Previously they have always had "weak links" at least on firepower like Mistic(really stepped up in Champ) and Enzo. Now they have 4 players who could all be stars on separate teams + Boaster who no matter what has had a lot of success.

Not public profiles, but saw C9 players playing under: C hide on bush 9#faker (Zellsis), C9 LeBron and then C9 z..... something

THIS. 100T are good team with a lot of potential, but they are overrated heading into next year IMO. They made a good roster change by adding Cryo, but is that enough? They didn't look amazing in Champions (with Will performing). Like I've seen people saying how 100T were on same level as FPX(NaVi) pre-2023 like what?

Also some of their players just get way too much praise for nothing. There's still people who seriously believe Asuna is top 3 entry/raze in the world while ignoring how mid and inconsistent he has looked. That's like saying Zeek is still the best. Bang is good, but I've seen people rating him over guys like Mako and Pancada, and saying how you are crazy if you don't rate him as top 3 controller. Like what? Cryo is really good, but again I've seen many rating him as potentially the best duelist entering next year while ignoring how competitive that role is etc.

I just don't even understand why some people are so pressed by this that they end up hating on random people who want to play games. Like I'm not 100% knowledgeable of what the controversy is even about, but holy fuck are some people sad and stuff like this just makes people want to support the game more. That's like attacking people who listen to Kanye West.

Looks pretty good and it got good reviews that was really surprising to me. Only combat seems bit boring and I'm not sure how alive the world feels and that's super important for game like this. Haven't watched much, but will likely test when it comes out.

I would replace bucher with Nille. I think Nille has been really impressive so far and I would want to see him on better team.

posted about 2 years ago

I mean if he is just an analyst he can easily stay in Sweden or wherever he lives and work from there. Its only tier 2 of NA.

Giants and KOI are most underrated rosters heading into Lock/In IMO.

fiber 100 mbit/s if I'm not wrong, but its part of rent. 1gb would cost like 30 or 40 euros.

posted about 2 years ago

PRX is risky, but I'm not going to bet much. Just to pump up the multiplier and I think PRX has higher chance than that to beat C9. Its new meta, new map(s) and Split should suit PRX pretty well. I'm still bit unsure of C9's roles and I think they could struggle because of that. For example Leaf's peak is really high, but what if he plays Killjoy all game long etc.

Yeah I think I will likely bet on Furia, because T1 didn't look convincing in Ludwig and Furia home buff. But I don't rate Furia highly either so dunno.
