The only positive about The Guard roster not making tier 1 and Riot fucking them over by just deleting their ascension win is that now there is an absurd abundance of FA talent in NA. I cannot wait to see some of these players sign to other regions and absolutely body them like the frauds they are (FNATIC + PRX not included). Sorry not sorry, get used to NA winning every region's trophy.

We want 11 teams in Americas. More specifically, we want the roster that won our ascension tournament. I honestly don't see why a few people are pearl clutching about an org buying a tier 1 roster. The org/team name/branding makes no difference to me. The only criteria needed for Guard Roster new org is 1. Org wants a tier 1 valorant team 2. Org can afford tier 1 valorant team. From there it should be up to the players and coach which org they choose to represent. Reminder this isn't a spot for life for the org or the players. So even if "buying a slot" is bad to you, it's not a long term deal, it's more like renting a spot. There should be no mention of precedent, The Guard Org and Riot both screwed up this situation royally. This is not comparable to G2 trying to get franchise spot. This is a "guest spot" as Leo Faria said previously.

The most copium reason I can come up with is that they just want to impression farm the controversy to start hyping up offseason rostermania and offseason events. Surely there is no way we wait 5+ months in offseason and Riot does nothing about this. Surely they can look at twitter, reddit, vlr, etc and see nobody is happy about this. If some team like OPTC or more likely G2 has the cash and the desire to sign The Guard roster that is the best solution. "all orgs trying to ascend this year" is just a pointless line of thought. M80 CEO and Goober fans calling for them to ascend instead of The Guard. Sure it's better than 10 teams, but it doesn't address the problem whatsoever. The Guard roster should be allowed to stay in tier 1, orgs should be competing with each other to sign this roster and enter tier 1. Any solution that doesn't involve The Guard Players and Coach being allowed to compete for a new org in tier 1 is a bad solution. No hate to M80, tbh if they just won ascension this would all be wayyyyy more simple. It would be awesome to see that team in tier one, but moving them up in place of the roster that actually won Ascension is idiotic.

Riot you cannot fucking convince me there are no orgs that want to adopt The Guard roster and move up. I know technically ascension spot goes to the org not the players, but that was a dumbass way to do it from the start. Every single Tier 2 partner org from last year would jump at the chance; FaZe, G2, SR, TSM (Prob not M80 but who knows). Even content creator orgs or orgs not even in Valorant at the moment would compete for this opportunity. This is completely unfair to the players and coach at The Guard. Riot literally makes the rules up as we go and they can't find a way to keep one team in tier 1? It's also unfair to every single tier 2 team in NA, BR, or LATAM. The Union and M80 were both solid teams that could have gotten this spot, and every other team worked so hard to place well in Challengers and try to make it to Ascension. If Riot wants to kill tier 2 can they just pull the fucking plug already? There's no fucking point in watching Challengers and Ascension if this is the end result. FUCK THE GUARD ORG AND FUCK RIOT. FIX YOUR SHIT.

Nobody cares about the other players, they seem fine and they play good. This is completely about Riot, The Union Org, as well as NTK and Pancc making bad choices. If The Union got kicked out of Ascension cause of Pancc that would suck for the other players, but doing nothing is equally as wild.
